few weeks back tanga.com (copy of woot) sold it for $300+$7 shipping (bought one) no problem at all.
went to MC in tustin, CA and they said that it was a mistake; that corporate or some such was supposed to send the rebate to some stores only, or maybe at a later date.....anyway, no rebate there at least

Which store was it supposed to work for? The link for the rebate in the opening post doesn't mention it's site-specific

It's short for Brick and Mortar, or meaning the physical store and not online.

Am I the only one who doesn't know how to open the rebate forms? I can't seem to open the .phtml files with either Firefox or Internet Explorer.
We have a store here in the twin cities. Guess I swing by there myself and pick up the premium, the component cables are a must. I hope all stores keep these in stock.

the dude told me the rebate was "already off the website" that corporate or some such hit "send to all stores" by mistake or something; i don't know what the FCk the deal is
Nice find OP. A core for $200 plus a HD DVD dreive from CC for $160 and I can justify the purchase to my wife as one of the cheapest ways to get a HD DVD player.

Yeah can you explain this further? How is this a glitch? Nothing in the rebate has the restrictions you mentioned. I don't see why I can't pick up an Xbox 360 from Tustin and send in the rebate.
PS - If you're having trouble opening the rebate form, just download the file, rename the extension to pdf and open it with your pdf reader.

how can they decline it? just download the form and send it in mail. I don't see any restriction applied in the form, I'd assume it's still a go. I'll be heading to the same store tomorrow.

I'm not using Acrobat to open my pdf files so I had to change some file associations.

Going to their site, I don't see the 360 system even offered for sale. I would think they would have it considering the rebate and they offer a zillion games for the systems.

I have their ad from last week and the 360 and games takes up almost two pages including the premium for 399. I hope this works out. I've been really wanting to try GoW.
