.Edited to add this incredible deal.

I price matched to BB and the deal worked very well for me I guess.

TV Came to 569.99 ($1599.99 - $300 (CC PM) - 10% CC coupon - $600 (Direct TV + Install))
Home installation $200 (Panasonic $200 rebate should take care of it)
H20 Receiver $99
I took 4 year warranty for $249.99 which I am going to cancel. I don't think a $569.99 TV needs a @249.99 warranty.

Bottom Line, I got the TV for $569.99 + Tax

Good luck guys. Just wanted to encourage all to try. Here is the scanned receipt. I of course removed some sensitive info.

Receipt Scan

Of course, I will get few dollars back via Reward Zone and my AMEX one card.

U beat me by a few mins! Hah!

Looks good to me, green for you OP!

Would you better off doing this deal at BBinstead?

Thanks for pointing this out. I was ignoring that thread thinking it was not possible. I gave it a shot today at BB and worked out very well.

Thanks

Thanks a ton, man.
BTW, where is the BB you bought your set?
(Well, I went to 2 BBs in my hood this afternoon. Their offer is the same..."either" a PM or a HD-upgrade. No double dip. Yeah, they suck !!!

Help guys I am really looking for a tv. Please tell me the details of how to get the direct tv deal and the price match details .... thanks in advance

KVA said: Bestbuy is showing 1599 how can you price match ?? can you give me the details of direct tv deal ?

BB has it for 1599
CC has it on sale today for $1399 (Same price as BF. Check cc web site)
CC also has a 10% of coupon

BB price matched the price and coupon (I also had BB 10% reward Zone coupon which came by mail)
So the price came to $1169

Now, sign up for direct tv HD or upgrade to direct TV HD ($99)(The deal may not be good if you do not want direct tv. There are similar deals with HD cable TV too)
Sign up for professional installation ($200)

The register takes of $600 from the price of the TV. (Its supposed to take only $400 off, but it takes of $600)
This makes price of the TV $569

There is a $200 rebate from Panasonic for installation
There is a $100 rebate from Direct TV for HD receiver

This makes the price of the TV $569 with professional installation. Then you pay for your monthly direct TV programming.
Hope this helps.

Thank you minnjj... is there any contract for Direct TV ? how much per month is the minimum I have to pay ?

KVA said: Thank you minnjj... is there any contract for Direct TV ? how much per month is the minimum I have to pay ?

Its the usual 1 yr contract I think (I need to confirm this). Also, the minimum is about $40 which includes local channels and HD programming (I need to confirm this too). You do not pay anything extra for this deal. Also, similar deals are available for HD cable TV too.

Doesn't sound that hot to me, - call me a party pooper. $40 a month = $480 a year, so that makes the TV just over $1k again for a service I wouldn't be interested it.

I thought from previous threads that BB will ring up the DirecTV stuffs but would not activate. Is this true?

whicjh BB did you get this deal at?

If I purchase at BB for $1599. then get them to PM CC at 1299 --- isn't the PM going to be $330. making it 1279. .. then I think I have a 12% rewards zone card reducing it by another $153 ... making it $1126.00 ... hot deal but obviously I'm missing something as that's a long way from the OP's price.

I'd sure appreciate it if someone could direct me as to where/how to get the other $600. discount?

I've seen at least 2 explicit breakdowns of how to get it to the OP's price, in this short, 2 page thread. It ain't that hard to find....

Nice post, OP...pretty hot. I'd love to get rid of Charter Cable anyhow, so satellite sounds good, but do I really need another HDTV....????

you have to sign up for direct tv in best buy then you will get additional 600

how did you PM to BB? I thought BB price was higher.

Thanks for the work, I appreciate it OP! I think the only question I have for you is where to find the $100 rebate for DirecTV, as I am an existing customer. Even if we dont get the rebate for the DirecTV receiver this is a heckuva deal. Thanks again!

Could you explain the Direct TV rebate or specifics? I didn't find it on their site. Thanks!

liptonbrisk said: Could you explain the Direct TV rebate or specifics? I didn't find it on their site. Thanks!

OK, I called direct tv. there is no rebate. The minimum monthly programming rqd is $30. The question is, what happens if I do not activate the receiver. I need figure it out.

the direct TV deal is iffy and there isn't much info about it

After talking to DTV, I understood that they have not received any work order for my installation. I am not going to call them and order an installation. The question is, when BB brings the TV for installation, Will they have a problem since I do not have DTV?

alright, Party pooper. Read up on the deal before you poop.

Will this deal still work on Wednesday?

Also how do you get the Panasonic rebate if you are purchasing from Best Buy?

Thanks!

any link for the panasonic $200 rebate? Thanks.

well if BB shoots you down, the DirectTv ad in CC holiday catalog offer is:

Free installation of 4 room system
$100 MIR for HD Receiver
$300 off instantly when you activate DirectTV HD and buy any HDTV 30"+
$29.99+/month for 1 year contract

Also on the inside cover is cc rewards card offering 5% rewards.

So at CC, the best price is:
$1299.99 Plasma + $99.99 HD Receiver - $300 instant = 900.00 - $90 (10% coupon) - $45 (5% rewards card) - $100 MIR = $665+tax. Still a good deal and shouldn't be YMMV. Oh yeah, FatCash!

Any one know what is the early termination fee for Direct TV ??

There you go - $200 Panasonic rebate for instalation

Rebate Link

Panasonic rebate
$200 link

Was the Home Installation required per DirectTV? If BB required it, that probably means $600 off discount was to make install free. Should be interesting to see if Panasonic rebate works.

This seems to be really hot. I have Dish Network and i am in the middle of a contract. Would this work if i sign up for directv but not activate directv. Thanks OP

Yeah. I received mine yesterday. They had rejected mine in middle of march saying I didn't mail in the installation receipt. I faxed them the receipt again (the bestbuy receipt that had both the tv and install on it). Had to call them a couple of times after that. April first week it showed up as entered on their system. April 20th the check number showed up. And yesterday I got the check.
