think i've seen this posted before, but regardless, is this a $200 rebate + $150 rebate or did you just mistype the after part?
Sorry, the rebate amount is now fixed. My lazy copy-and-paste made the mistake. Anyway, the post on the HDTV LCD part is probably a repost. But the laptop, desktop and other stuffs are not.

After comparing to BB and CC, I'm thinking of getting the Compaq Presario from Micro Center for $400 plus the 19" LCD for $90. I've been in the market for a new desktop and I'm wondering, am I missing something, or is this the best deal on a desktop for BF? Any other options people think are better? Anyone think there will be better deals post-BF (I've been waiting a couple months for a good price, so I figure I can wait a little longer)?

Closest one is about an hour drive, would hate to go and miss out. I had a friend last year that went to camp out early the night before to get one of the doorbuster items. He turned back after seeing many people already ahead of him.
I went to Tustin, CA store two years ago after Christmas. The parking lot was pretty full at 7:00AM when it opened and I did not get what I want on that day. I guess it will be worse on Black Friday.

Yeah,the sales reps keep saying they have "plenty" of TV's...but I am not sure they know how big the demand is for these TV's at these prices....I am currently planning to go at opening..but the more I think about it, I might go early and sit on my butt in the cold....
They have more units per item then BB,CC,WM, etc, but since they have so few stores, they are going to pull people from an hour away or so...whereas there are several BB's, CC's, OM, OD, Staples, etc. within a 10 minute drive for me.
I think the Fry's ad will determine the lines here..if Fry's ad rocks, many of the locals will probably head there first...at least I hope they do.
Decisions, decisions.

While I don't know the answer to that, I do have the Acer 3680 (From Microcenter's $400 - $100 CC application rebate a few months back) and I have the Vista RC2 installed. It runs smoothly but it won't run Aero. Just FYI.

Hrm. Is the only reason it won't run Aero because of it's 512 RAM? Or is there some system-compatibility problem? Because other than the RAM it seems like it should be "Vista Premium Ready"...
Anybody go to last year's BF sale in St Louis Park? Curious what the lines were like and if they handed out vouchers etc? Doesn't make much sense to go if you get there and have to fight crowds once inside the store.

WOW! These are scorching. MC clearly wins BF hands down, bigger blowout than the elections.
Several people have confirmed that each store will have several hundreds LCDs of each size in stock. I will just walk into the store at 8am on friday and get my TV

some of the rebates are good alreay, but you are missing the instant off. $5 more for the wireless stuff in the post and 5$ more for the case.

No, you can get $250 in card credit/Tiger Direct funds from AMEX. A store credit card pulling down your score and hard pull should cost more than $100.
