Hack your c310x to have full access to Windows CE - Including MP4 Movie Playback, Winamp, and MS ActiveSync - compliments of stroths
1. Instructions - The directions are for the 510/710, but it works just the same on the 310 providing you use the CD method rather than the bluetooth (310 has no bluetooth)
2. Download Unlock-C510-Mioskins.zip

Here are some screenshots from my modded c310x
- MP4 Video Playback via TCPMP (It does full screen as well)
- Start Menu - You can start the default MP3 player, the Mapping software as well as other apps here
- System Info App
- Windows CE .Net 4.2 Desktop - This is what it boots to after the mod

EDIT: Download TCPMP .81 Beta RC1 - This is the last version before they started charging. The AAC plugin is included. This will run along side .72 and previous versions. If you don't want both, you will have to uninstall the old version as this installs in a new directory.

I don't think that was such a good price for the Mio being that the attached article states that it runs for $149 at Circuit City and Staples....

??? He got it for the same $149+tax. Staples will be $149 OTD, so it's slightly better, but this is the exact same deal he'd get at CC B&M tomorrow.

Just an FYI- that Mio wasn't on Staples website just 2 days ago. More proof that that $149 deal will be there and available tomorrow morning.

completely agree with this observation. MIO was available via phone and I ordered one for delivry last week and the model I got was MIO C310x

That's what I'm trying to decide. Staples probably will be less crowded than CC, so I'm thinking Staples over CC. Not sure what time to go though. Maybe get there around 4 for 6am opening?
