Malyshka, why don't you think so? Everything that I had read says it's gonna be the same type of plan as the instinct

I hope you are correct.

Care to share more? I would like to read up on additional details.

I am pretty sure you are wrong on that one.....

From what I have read and seen, they are going to make sure you have some kind of unlimited data plan. They have said any everything plan will work, because it includes data. SERO also includes unlimited data, and as such should qualify. When I spoke to a person at corporate headquarters she said I will be able to activate the Pre on my SERO plan, and already has my account credited $300 to cover the cost of the phone (to make up for my defective Treo 800W). The Pre is not going to be a Sprint exclusive phone, and as such shouldn't have the same limitations as the Instinct.

Is $300 the cost of the phone with 2 year contract?

I don't think that has been determined yet. I was credited $300 because that is what they deemed the value was of the 800w that they agreed to replace.

may i ask how you did it? when i try it tells me We're sorry, but the number you entered has been identified as part of the Everything Plus Referral Program (formerly Sprint Exclusive Referral Offer/SERO). Please visit www.sprint.com/everythingplus to complete your Everything Plus phone upgrade, or you may call an Everything Plus sales representative by phone at 1-888-882-4030 to place your order. any help would be great.

Hey, I've had a SERO plan since January of last year. I'm thinking of changing my phone from the HTC Mogul to a Treo PRO. When I buy the Treo PRO from, say eBay, and try to activate it, will I get any problems?

I just had the same issue as Fujirio when trying to upgrade my phone- I called customer service and was then transferred to a different sub-group whose number was 1-888-503-3078. I spoke with a representative, and renewed my SERO $50 plan for two years and upgraded to the HTC Touch Pro (399 with $100 mail-in-rebate).

I was planning on waiting for the Pre, but losing the SERO wasn't worth it. I would try this number and hopefully it will be as easy for you.

Best of luck-

(guess I missed out on the $50 web special but I won't complain since I renewed my SERO with no trouble)

The Treo Pro is known to work with SERO, as people here were getting this phone from Worst Buy for their SERO plans @ $199.99. You should be all set. You can also use Sprints online tool to activate it yourself if you don't want to deal with long hold times and harsh Indian accents

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your help. I didn't realize there was an online option. I'll definitely use that instead of talking to them over the phone.

I getting confused by some of the earlier comments in the last couple pages!! I am now right in the 23rd month of my 2yr $30 SERO contract. I am holding out in the hope of being able to get a Palm Pre as my next phone for the same plan. And since I already have the $30 SERO plan, my understanding always was that, I am grandfathered on that plan, meaning I could let my contract expire at the end of 24th month and stay on the same plan. And that I can upgrade my phone and extend the same contract for another 2 years when i choose to!!! Is that accurate or should I upgrade and extend the contract before the end of the 24th month?

Also, on a related topic, when I signed up for this plan it was officially called the Sprint SERO plan, however when I now log into my account its called the Sprint Fair & Flex plan, athough none of the features have changed. Anybody out there know what the difference is between these two plans?

1. You will be month by month after 24 months (I am also on SERO and signed the new contract when 24 months were over, I think i was on 25th month).

2. SERO is Sprint Fair & Flex plan.
