By request, I restarted the thread to help keep it shorter. The old thread can be found here.
Here's the deal: This first summary message is updated every 15 minutes, by searching each individual post for information bracketed by ~'s (tildes). That information is then automatically included in the summary message area below.
Examples of valid use: ~This line would be copied to the summary message.~ This line would not be copied to the summary message. ~ But, these two lines would be copied to the summary message. This second line goes with the above line and would also be copied to the summary message. ~ <<~Quoted areas would not be copied to the summary message.~>>
New UPC feature: A new UPC 'Lite' version is now available that contains the associated scanable bar codes for items that have UPC code information in the posting.
Examples of valid UPC use: ~Describe item and place upc information in the posting like this UPC808736621625.~ ~Or something like this also works UPC 808736621625~
Enjoy and remember to add the ~'s (tildes) for a great summary!
New Cell Phone Feature: If you would like the above list emailed to your cell phone for Target browsing, just send an email to fwlist@schumanfamily.com and my server will reply with the current list.
New Mobile Web Feature: If you would like to access a lite version of the above list for mobile browsing, it can be found at http://www.schumanfamily.com/fatwallet/target.html or click Lite Version.
New UPC Feature: If you would like to access a lite version of the above list with scannable UPC symbols, it can be found at http://www.schumanfamily.com/fatwallet/targetUPC.html or click Lite UPC Version.
Helpful Hint Area: If you are having problems with funny looking yellow highlighted links, try searching on Target Clearance instead of just Target.
What the heck is Rolling Thunder? The last script upgrade I nicknamed "Rolling Thunder" because it automatically trims back the summary lists to last 30 days. Hence, instead of having to start a new thread each month this one just keeps rolling along.
Wall of Shame I decided to create a Target "Wall of Shame" web page. If you are a Target addict and have a digital photo of your "stash" of Target bargains, please just email them to targetphotos@schumanfamily.com and I'll place them on the electronic wall for all to share. Of course, I will not identify any photos, so send them in. Thanks!
New ... Search Target stores for inventory This search utility will search local Target stores for inventory based upon the DCPI or ASIN numbers. It's limited to only items that are on the Target website and the results are somewhat questionable. However it does seem to work.

When the items that went 75% off started clearing out, my Target started putting out new items that are VERY similar, but the patterns differ the SLIGHTEST bit. It seems if you weren't there when they marked it down, those items are gone.
On a different note, some 75% off toys are still lingering, probably returns. Yesterday, I picked up: ~Barbie Mini Kingdom Birthday Cake playset reg. $12.99 for $3.24~

I picked up 10 baby gates for just over $100. We're building a house, so it's not like I was a hog just for the deal's sake (I'd have to buy 'em anyways). They were all 75% off. None of them were marked "Clearance" nor had red stickers on them.
The funny story here is that as I was walking up to buy them, there was another couple going through them and arguing. "Honey, there too expensive" "But we NEED them" "Let's go look at Toys R Us", etc.
Now remember, these were totally unmarked, so they would have assumed they were $40 or $50ish each. Here I come along, Fat Wallet mentality in tow, and called over an associate. Since they were too big to cart over to the Price Scanner, I had him scan them right there on the shelf. SCORE! Most of them were 75% off. Poor couple left without ever realizing the bargain. I grabbed 10.
I don't have numbers or details, cause they're all still in my car, but they were by Parents, Evenflo, and Summer. I will try and get to them later this afternoon.
Thanks Fat Walleters for always reminding everyone to SCAN EVERYTHING!
BTW - if you scored a Peg Perego high chair for $42, I am crazy jealous.

Hmmmm...... So you were close enough to overhear their conversation, yet you didn't consider mentioning to them the fact that the gates might not be full price, and instead you bought TEN? I understand that you truly might truly need them for yourself, but IMHO, maybe it would have been nice in this case to, say, only buy 9? It doesn't sound like they were looking for ten to use in the new house they're building. I love finding these deals, too, but I couldn't in good conscience keep my mouth shut in that situation. I felt bad enough last night reading the post from the woman who missed out on the clearance crib she needed when another couple bought it while she was waiting for help from an associate. Stories like these bother me.

I'm sorry, since they had left when I went to press the little "Need Help" button, should I have tracked them down somewhere in the store. Would that have made me the Good Samaritan you wished I was?
Yes, I needed 10 of them (and there were more left over that I didn't buy). And since I have a 2-year-old and 6-month-old twins who are on $600 a month worth of formula, I was very pleased I only had to spend $100 to keep my children safe from falling down the stairs instead of $400.

THey way I understood it, she did not know herself how much they were when she overheard their conversation. I will be honest, I don't say to someone, "Hey, maybe it's on clearance go scan it" until I see myself. If it's something I want, I scan it, and I take it. If they were still there when she found out the price, they would have seen that they were discounted. I don't think she started loading up 10 gates in front of them and said you snooze, you lose! I do feel for the woman with the crib however. I have twins and an older son who I pushed to a bed at 18 months, and had twins sharing the crib he had been in (that was already passed down through 3 children). I would have given anything to get a brand new crib for $92!

Most sleds and snowboard type things marked at 75% now, but gloves, scarves and mittens still at 30%?? Seems odd to me, but then again I didn't scan any of these, since I already have a closet full for next year.

I'm sorry, and I owe you a sincere apology. I misunderstood the situation and didn't realize you truly didn't know whether or not the gates were on clearance. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions, and next time I'll be more careful before putting in my two cents worth.

I usually don't have much luck finding any of the deals listed, but I did find one today! Not a big one, but it's about time I found something!
The Rawlings Baseballs. They were marked .74/each.

Thanks for the apology....no problem.
To be honest, I knew that the Parents gate was on clearance, but I did not know how much (I had just bought one at a different Target at 75% and assumed this one must be reduced). There was only one and I put it in my cart before I even looked for an associates help. The other gates being on clearance were just a sweet bonus.
However, even if I knew they were ALL on clearance, I don't think it was my responsibility to hunt down these people. I'm a kind person, but that's just not in my nature. There were plenty of gates left if they weren't so busy yelling at each other in front of their 2 kids.

Just an FYI for large/heavy items, I make a note of the DPCI and use the numerical keyboard on the side of the red floor scanner. This manual keypad process is great way to find the current discount level of an item without hunting down the actual item. Of course if you still want to buy the item, you still have to hunt it down providing it hasn't already been bought by store employees or other customers and no one has hidden the item somewhere. It's too bad the information displayed doesn't show the number of items in the store, but just whether its in the stockroom or not.
And to appease the FW members who subscribe to this thread but get annoyed by discussion posts instead of deal posts, I promise to try and post at least one clearance item along with my discussion post for my new year's resolution.
~Singer sewing machine (shelf model? no box) stickered at $44.xx ~ I think the original price was 179.xx ~Mission style dining nook set - table $49.xx - set of 2 chairs $32.xx - and matching bench seat $24.xx~
Wow, a new thread and its already full of bickering. I know this post is hypocritical, but unless you have a deal to post or directly discuss, move on.
Thank you...
