You don't have to have prime to get the $5 promo discount. Prime just gives you shipping on any price order. If you are not Prime, just buy something over $25 to get free shipping.

Sweet deal for CD's and paperback books if you have prime. In for three items. Of course I fully expect them to cancel. Hopefully they don't try to charge the full amount, but I have received e-mails on all three noting the "sale" price.

When Macy's canceled things out of stock, they credited everyone with $5 to Amazon. How do you think Amazon will deal with this? Hundreds of orders is very tricky.

Same question. They may cancel it for those that abuse it. For example, placing many orders on the same account or buying something for a little over $5 - $5 Promo and using Prime, etc.

I am sure some people will totally abuse this and that may cause Amazon to review the orders...
