Just got shot down in Atlanta (Cobb Parkway store). I had the cashier ready to ring it but the mgr came up and said no b/c there was a MIR on it. Oh well, was worth the try.

Both nearest BB and OD stores are 60+ miles away from where I am.
I tried it this morning, but it did not work. OD knows there is a rebate.

shot down at opening of the store in woodland hills, socal, also if u know where that is, got shut down at the one on parthenia, almost got it at parthenia, but there was a stack of circulars next to the cashier -_-

I tried and shot down, They are saying it is the same price. Any way can any one tell me compare to this one how is this CompUSA one is ?. Is that memmory is compatible with this CompUSA pc too ? I would really appreciate all the help.

Got one! No problems with the pm. The laptop had a shelf price of $699.99 and no markings about a rebate, even though there was a big easel set up nearby with laptop prices/rebates listed (this laptop wasn't on the list). Took the ticket by the laptop to the manager, who checked the shelf and said no problem with the PM. When the receipt/rebate forms printed, the cashier talked to the manager hush hush about the laptop rebate, then threw it away without saying anything about it to me. I was mostly preoccupied with my 2 year old who was having fun making loud noises (great echo in OD), but I could hear what they were talking about. Just printed the online rebate form.

GOT THIS DEAL.. no go at the first OD, the second OD was a GO!

At the first one the manager tells me.. Im giving it to you for $530.. I told him no, you're not.. it's 530 after the rebate.. he's like im not going to give you an extra 150 off.. he must've not got any last night.. anyways.. so I went to another one.. and go the laptop.

$576 OTD - 150 MIR = $426!!

Which receipt I should send out? The initial one or the one after PM? Confusing...Use your last receipt for the rebate. Don't worry about having the PM show on the receipt. I have one of these deals I did a few weeks ago with PM and rebate ($200), and the rebate shows valid on the rebate site. OD doesn't have the invalid purchase price thing like Circuit City does.

Don't worry about using the $529.99 receipt. Use the online rebate form. You'll get your rebate.

Thank you saved my trip. Please never ever try John R or Big Beaver Troy stores. Never works. Try Woodward, Vandyke or Telegraph road stores. I have had success in the past.
