That's online pdf form. The in-store form reads "Limit 1 rebate per household or business. Not valid with transactions placed online or by phone, including orders for instore pick up".
Can anyone confirm that online ordering for instore pick up does not qualify for OD rebate? I read the terms and conditions on the .pdf form posted by OD on its own website. It does not mention anything about ordering online for instore pick up does not qualify for the rebate. If that is the case, would it help if we were to use the .pdf form posted on OD website to get the rebate since it has no such condition. Thanks for any info. |

Did anyone notice the UPC in the manufacturer's rebate ( UPC 5390800084139 ) is different from the item ( UPC 5390800084122 ) which i got. Can somebody confirm if i got the wrong item? I ordered it online for in-store pickup. Only the adapter is visible on the plastic and the card is missing, the plastic is still close. Please tell me what you got? Do you have both adapter and card? |

I went back and bought another one for a friend. When I got home I noticed that one of the UPCs is different, even though everything else on the front of the package looked the same.
On closer inspection I see that the cardboard package was originally for a 512MB flash card.
There is a "1GB" sticker that was carefully placed over the "512MB" (on the right side of the front of the package) to match the color artwork.
On the back, the capacities table Highlights the 512MB column. This is the quickest way to distinguish the packages at a glance.
There are two barcodes on the back. The one on the left is the UPC that OD scanned and printed on the receipt. On the formerly 512MB package, there is a sticker with the new 1GB UPC.
The Dane-Elec rebate mentions the "alternate" (right-hand) barcode number, but also lists the left-hand one.
Good package: Dane-Elec 1GB package.pdf
Not so good package: Dane-Elec 1GB repackage.pdf
Either package will work for the OD rebate, if you purchased in the store, since they don't require a UPC.
The rebadged package would probably work for the Dane-Elec rebate, but I'm going to exchange it for a "real" 1GB package, to lessen the chance of hassles. |

I also got confused for a second when I opened the case then noticed that MicroSD is inside the adapter. You just need to pull it out. As for UPC, I also got the one with the sticker on it. The sticker shows 804272719710 which matches the title on the form. The other barcode (5390800084108) in my package matches neither yours nor the rebate form. Too bad I have already cut it out, not sure will this cause a issue. |

starting when OfficeDepot do not list any rebates with items? They used to list rebates in item description page, but now it seems no rebate forms are listed there. If they want to deny the rebate, we don't even have a screenshot to argue. |

Just got the last one at Huguenot Road store in Richmond. FWIW online show OOS at the store but when I went in, I rifled through all the 512's and found one 1 G in the pile. |

The UPC for this item is 8 04272 71971 0. The second barcode number, 5 390800 084139, is for some other purpose -- it's not a UPC because it has 13 digits instead of 12 as UPC codes do. I plan to cut out both numbers on one piece of cardboard and send both originals and a copy of both originals for the rebates so there's no confusion. |
