oops I hope you dont mean the Staples on cascade blvd.......my little cousin just got a part time job there. My clearance pile is stacking up in the back as we speak. Dont worry, Im just in the market for electronics and such, Ill leave the furniture alone.

I dunno. I got the HP dv2000t for 500 after rebates (coulda benn less but i got the 12 cell) and with the exception of it not having a dvd-rw (my falt, coulda added instead of batt) it performs great. But you just gotta wait for the right deal for quality laptop and nto fall all over a 300 dollar one and expect wonders. And for some people this would be a great deal depending on usage.

My keyboard batteries are failing = very bad spelling.

How is this laptop in comparison to the Toshiba A135-S2386 at Office Depot?

Slower processor 1.5 vs 1.83 from OP and smaller HD 60 GB vs 80 GB from OP. Sure less rebates on CC (only $30) but slightly different unit as well.

Anyone running Linux on this system got their wireless network working. I have skimmed through some Google pages about the issue with broadcom mini pci wireless card Linux driver but just want to ask if anyone already got it working.
