You can't actually remove the connection setting thats in there. But you can remove all the login info so that your phone can't sign on to 3G even if it wanted to. This info can be found in the user manual or online if you ever do decide to use the data network. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Answer: Emulating HP’s calculators on Windows Mobile - link here Email? Use isp if you have PDA data connect, use wap if you have media max. Delete it if you don't use either. The phone WILL try to connect to 3G if wifi is unavailable and you open a program that needs internet. This can be very dangerous if you don't have a data plan, since you can't turn off the charge per use from at&t. You first must go to cingular.com/premier and enter in your work or school e-mail address to see if you're eligible. |
I'm eligible for Premier, and I'm using an aging Nokia 6620 with an old ATT Wireless/Cingular Blue plan. I was thinking of taking advantage of this deal and getting a two year contract, but not sure which phone to get, either the 8525 or the Palm Treo 750. It looks like the 8525 has better specs/features but the Palm is a better form factor (not as bulky). Any thoughts? |

I got 25% off service with my employee program. |
I just got 8525 couple of days ago in my hand from Premier Site. So deal works for sure. Deal is on for a month or can be discontinued by Cingular (maybe due to FW effect! |
5 months ago, I got this phone for $500+, plus $45 monthly fee and $500 deposit. I paid $1000+ when purchasing this phone in local store... |
The term stupid comes to mind. You can get the same phone for less on the bay. GO into cingular and get a free phone, then just pop your sim card into the one you bought on eBay. |

Hi Caliknbi, |
Great find, OP, if sold on Cingular. Sprint's SERO deal (FW Deal Discussion Thread) may be a better deal over the long term. Giving you green as this is a great deal for Cingular. |
If I buy this and cancel a month later, what would the cancellation fee be? If it's just $200 it's worth buying it and cancelling a month later. |
You can also get the Palm Treo 750 FREE with a voice and data package on the Cingular Premier site. I just paid about $400 for one less than 6 weeks ago (it was more on the Premier site) through the regular retail store when I upgraded my plan for another 2 years so I am calling the Premier department to inquire about a price adjustment. |
Cingular 8525 phone rocks, also you can tweak it a lot and use it as a modem. |

rjk6w4 said:I would definitely go with the 8525 - better keyboard, hsdpa, faster processor, better screen resolution, better camera. While the 750 is slightly less bulky, it certainly isn't a BlackJack in terms of thickness. Both are good phones though... |
