Is it the same thing? If yes, applying for the Sony Credit card only save $50.Certainly not worth saving just $50 to ding your credit report. Go with the $99 link through Tiger Direct. I'm in at $108 shipped with same bonus offers. Thanks, OP, for starting the e-Book discussion here. |

I'm also an existing cardholder. I called Sony Rewards redemption, and they didn't know anything. How do I get in on this? |

When I try to read the #1 footnote, it appears to be cut off. Mine ends with "sslcs title will be applied to your". Does anybody know what this means or what might be after that? |

Generally TigerDirect will note something as refurbished if it is. This looks new, HOWEVER, the price is now up to $249, so I'm not sure if it was a very limited time offer or a price mistake. I purchased one at the $99.95 price as well. |

Maybe they are trying to recoup their losses from those of us lucky enough to get in at $99? |

No color is a drawback. How can I read e-comic and e-newspaper? I don't think this device will sell. |

It already IS selling - it's probably the #1 ebook device out there aside from PDAs. |

Shows OOS now. manko said:If you're looking for a lower priced alternative...
I've been following these ereaders for a while, but decided to go with the recent Buy.com Nokia 770 deal for a low priced ebook reader. Paired with FBReader, it's working out great, plus it has the added bonus of web browsing, media, chat and voice chat.
I'm sure an e-ink or OLED ebook reader will be in my future, but I'm waiting another generation or two for prices to come down.
By the way, I just saw this on SD:

So is it just me, or does anyone else know HOW you get the eReader? I don't have a card and applied through the link and it just says thank you for applying I will know if I got approved via snail mail. Is there supposed to be something in the mail about getting this or do I have to call in also? There's nothing but an application... do I get charged on the new credit card and get mailed the eReader? so confused... |
