I'd like to know where to find the specs as well. I'm trying to find out if it has VT support - I run virtual PC and vmware and would like the hardware virtualization support.
Also, man did Dell make it hard to upgrade the memory on this thing! You gotta remove the keyboard to get access to the second DIMM slot?? What a pain in the butt
How do you know u have take the keyboard off. Do you have one of these already? if u have docs do u have the link. |

here's the English manual Text Removing the DIMM A Memory Module NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).
The DIMM A memory module is located under the keyboard. |

regarding your order scsiguru. do they have two different cpus listed? it's says Intel Core 2 Duo T5470 near the top, which is the correct cpu, but they listed a 310-9348 Centrino Core Duo Processor near the bottom. probably just a typo? |

Why drool at that price for the 1400? You can get a similar price for the 1500 but hurry because free shipping ends at midnight! The only difference in my configuration is that I have the 6 cell battery but I took the webcam option. I find that for most times I can find an outlet so battery at the moment is not important to me. Now to throw in 2Gb of ram!! Can't wait to receive this baby!! |

Is this deal better then
this Inspiron $499 The combos described further down where you start off with the $449 Inspiron are better deals than that $499 Inspiron, the $449 deal is still available as I type this. Is it worth an additional $80 to you to get an integrated firewire port, somewhat faster processor & video card, and another 40GB of disk space? If yes, pull the trigger on the Vostro. If not, or if you're price-sensitive, go with the 1501. |

IT is most likey the label sticker. Every thing that goes in or is attached to the unit will have a part number. edfick said:regarding your order scsiguru. do they have two different cpus listed? it's says Intel Core 2 Duo T5470 near the top, which is the correct cpu, but they listed a 310-9348 Centrino Core Duo Processor near the bottom. probably just a typo? |
