I’ve found it to be increasingly YMMV in combining the 12% with a dollars off coupon. It’s essentially a no go in the Chicago ‘burbs, at least. I managed to convince the mgr. in Spring ‘06 when I got my Acer monitor, but was flat out refused this past April. I always hope for the best, but I think the true gravy combo deals at Staplez are past.
yeah, they're being tough on PM's when they offer a rebate too. Got a webcam at one stapels w/a pm to beastbuy but the cashier took the rebate receipt, threw it away and tried to be slick about it. Like I care. At the next stapels, they just flat out refused to do a PM because their price after rebate was the same as beastbuy's out the door price.
The great deals of free AIO's and monitors by stacking coupons, pm's and rebates are over.

Not only that, but in some Staples stores the prick managers are known to ask for proof that you actually work for the corporation that is the "contract customer" mentioned on the form. So, for pre-emptive info gathering purposes, can people contribute the names of known Staples contract customers?

green for description of managers.
I'm not sure if he's saying that the managers ARE pricks, or if they're MANAGING pricks...

I haven't had it that bad, but I was asked once where it came from. Told the manager my company (gave the company name) sends them to us, and I don't know the details of it, but it is corporate stuff, so I wouldn't. They just give it to us as an employee benefit. I don't know if had easy way to check that name or not, but he took my word for it.
You can use one of your local state agencies... a majority of them use Staples as far as I am aware. Examples of agencies you can use: department of health, finance, etc... board of ed will also work, etc. I have never heard of anyone asking for proof.

Just one kind-of dumb question, do I need to print it on a card since it says "just bring this card with you and ...."? Did anyone succeed in using plain white paper printout? Thanks.

Roughly 5 times per year. I think next will be after BACK TO SCHOOL and last will be in December. Anyone have a better guess?
