K-Mart has dropped their clearance prices in some locations, if not nationwide, on some of their lawn and garden tools. Thanks to mrdc who posted the lawn mower specials at K-Mart, I picked up two of their clearance mowers (Reg $309 for $77). While I was there getting the mowers, I noticed that the Craftsman Bushwacker Hedge trimmers were also reduced to almost giveaway prices. Their 22" 25cc gas hedge trimmer, which retails at Sears for about $200 is on sale for $40 (Item 7179635, SKU 02476101590). Another model with same specs, but different model # was $70. Their 20" electric Bushwacker (Item 7179952, SKU 02887751595) is only $15 (had been on clearance for $30 a couple of days ago). Companion 50 foot hoses were only $2.50 as noted in mrdc's post and were plentiful. YMMV and happy hunting!
edit: Some stores also have Craftsman electric Edgers for $30 (one local store had them for $60)(Reg $120). SKU 02887741256. ...YMMV.
Also, if you need a PM between K-Mart stores it completely depends on the CSR at the return desk and if she says "no", and whether you ask for the manager to make a command decision...I've had it go both ways --all depending upon luck of the draw of the CSR and manager. If at first you don't succeed, try and try again. My local store has a policy of not adjusting or PMing clearance items. If the price has dropped at the same store, you can return it, wait for them to put it out for sale again, and then rebuy it at the lower price (if it is still available). A nice CSR will do all of that simultaneously for you --but most won't, requiring you to come back and take your chances that it hasn't been resold. Or you can just return it and buy it at another KM that has it at a lower price. I've also had some CSR's state that they will match Sears clearance prices (like on the Craftsman 7 1/4" circular saw for $10) and others say no to this. It is very much YMMV, even among local stores.
Very much a YMMV situation...even the prices vary by store in some cases, and they sometimes will not honor the .com prices - but still worth the look.

Just picked up Craftsman #7179951 Bushwacker 18" Electric Hedge Trimmer for $10.00
Thanks for the info. I just got back from Kmart. The gas hedge trimmer scanned at $80 at this one. It was the same model # that you listed. I wonder if Kmarts have a set schedule when they do their markdowns like Target. It would be nice to know so I could check back.
My Kmart had them for $40 but I tried for 1/2 an hour to think of a use for these but could't...I have no hedges! Had to go to Sears next and walked by the trimmers there and the 19" Craftsman was $140. I almost went back to Kmart!!

Got the last 20" electric Bushwacker at the Greenbelt, MD KMart this morning. Wasn't marked as clearance on the shelf, but rang up at $15. Thanks, OP, FW rocks!
Wonder if the $40 gas ones will drop any more? Also, call me cheap but $200 was at least double what they should have normally been.
Aren't the gas ones not too heavy to use without wearing your arms out?

Can you PM the brand name and model number for the lawn mower? I am in need of one. Thanks!
Craftsman Rotary Lawn Mower 6.75 HP, Power-Propelled, 22" Rear Discharge with catch bag
I found one at each of the stores that I visited (they were the floor samples). I had been told that the stores didn't have ANY. They were regularly $309. I bought two for $77 each. I have a 5000 square foot grass (weed) lot on a slope. As I get older, I need all the help I can get in mowing it several times a year. Hopefully, the front wheel drive will help! With a 6.75 HP powered mower, you can't go wrong for $77! And again, thanks to mrdc who orignially posted the mower deal.
Good Luck!

Got a 22" 25cc gas hedge trimmer for $40. Thanx. 1 left in St. Pete Fl
Don't forget to look for the 50 foot Companion hoses that are $2.50. I found a stack of them covered by dirt and dust outside in the old nursery section.
Thanks from a corner-lot-with-lots-of-hedges FWer. Picked up 2 for $40 each. At 12:15 PM EST, the K-Mart in in Salem, NH had 5 more of these sitting on the shelves. "You are getting these for a great price. They were originally for $140" said the kid at the electronics desk where I went for a price check.

Picked up the gas hedge trimmer, too.
As I was cashing out, the lady asked if I wanted to buy a $25 giftcard and get an additional $5 dollars. So I ended up paying $50 dollars and got a $60 giftcard, which she then used on the hedge trimmers.
There was a little flyer at the register about these gift cards.

Nice deal, I used, and did ONE better!
Bought the gift cards, PLUS, my store was having a SPECIAL.... an additional 50% off the lowest marked clearance price.... I got 2 trimmers for the CLEARANCE price of one, and had money left over on one of the 2 gift cards! SWEET deal, these worked out to 15 BUCKS each!!!
EDITED to add: Also, got 4 McGuiers car care kit for 5 BUCKS EACH,,,, the GOLD wax in the kit costs 10.99 NORMALLY! then it included swirl remover, tire detailer, and wax detailer too, in a nice canvas bag! wooooohoooooo!
Thx OP, picked up 2 of the gas trimmers for $40 each (one for me and 1 for a relative). Regular ticket showed $159 and another ticket $40. Glad it does not feel as heavy as I thought it might.

Three of the 22" trimmers left in the Auburn, Maine store. I ran one under the self-scanner and it rang up $40. No mowers or hoses that I saw.
Pinole, CA has 1 each of 18 and 20" electric hedgetrimmers in stock as of this morning. Price of the 20" was $30 so I passed. No gas versions that I could find.
We're headed up to Gold Country today so I printed all locations between here and there "just in case" there is time to stop. Whee!! It's a FatWallet roadtrip. My guy is all excited about possibly finding the gas one for $40. Cracks me up.
Went to the Canton, GA store this AM. They had moved all the garden center stock to the area outside electronics. They had some patio furniture, and little else. The garden center was closed, filled with Christmas stock waiting to be displayed. They hadn't a shovel or rake in the place. The Marietta store had a lot of leftovers. I picked up two of the electric hedge trimmers at $7 each, and one gas at $28. Also bought a small Black & Decker blower for $4.90, and an electric "stree lamp" for $17. Found the 50' hoses in a box, and bought four at $2.45 each. They had some mowers, but the only one I scanned was $250, as marked. Really wanted the edger, but this store didn't have any. Went to the Roswell store. It's undergoing a remodel. They have their entire store on sale, and some of the garden center stock was as much as 50%+ off, but their hedge trimmers were at full price. The gas model I bought for $28 was $159.99 at the last store, and the $7 models were $39.99. Thanks, OP.

Picked up a 22" 25cc gas hedge trimmer for $40. Saugus, MA store is all out.
I picked up a 16" (3.5hp) electric chainsaw for $79, half of the $159 it was listed at at the Eldersburg, MD location. They had one more. They also had a handful of 14" (2.5hp) ones, I assume they would be 1/2 of $139. They also had lots of blowers (already got one so didn't look much). Otherwise, the shelves were pretty empty (and the lights off!).
If anyone spots some of the gas hedge trimmers in Carroll, Howard, or Anne Arundel counties in MD, please post!
Rancho Cordova store had several 18" electric hedge trimmers in stock on Sunday and no gas ones.
Citrus Heights store had several 18" electric hedge trimmers, string trimmers and several mowers (mowers were scanning at regular prices). Additional markdowns were supposedly being taken for today on the clearance stuff but as we live 90 min from that location, we bought on Sunday (got the last gas trimmer for $40 - whee!!).
Bought the last 18" electric trimmer at Placerville store for $10 and there were none of anything else left except mowers and we didn't take time to find someone to scan for pricing of them (no shelf tags with pricing info were seen).
Today my guy is going to check Solano County locations (he wants a mower and a gas trimmer for himself).

Went to my KMart, they didn't have any gas trimmers in stock but scored a 17" electric for $7.00 and a 18" electric for $1.00!
