Glad the deal is still around so those who missed the deal can now cash in. PM for me was real simple and CA has been ok for rebates in the past. So thanks OP
fastness said: Most FWer have jumped in this deal it b4 09/15 when there were 120MIR. All rebates limit ONE.
Actually, there were $160 in rebates if you include 07-75282 (8/1/2007-9/30/2007) Upgrade/Competitive Rebate participating retailers $40. And of course the pricematch to bestbuy as well.
For anyone who missed out, the deal is still a respectable way to get a 2GB flash drive and make $64 after rebates and price match.

If you did the crazy rebates at Staples are you still eligible for this?
yazyazoo said: If you did the crazy rebates at Staples are you still eligible for this?
Were any of the Staples rebates for the internet security software on a 2GB flash drive? If so, check the offer numbers for the crazy rebates compared to those in the OP.
For another $40 on the deal from last week bring the deal up to $160...could that really be true? We'll find out later this week when the submissions mailed on 9/20-21 are processed.

You're missing 07-75280: $20 and 07-75282: $40
BTW, 06-52375 is for "regular" Security Suite, not the Flash dive version.

So the three rebates in the OP are pretty much it AFAIK.

This was a good deal last time around and is still one. CA has already approved all 4 rebates for $120. A call was needed but no questions asked - too quick for words. If possible, pre-submit everything at the CA's rebate center. Good one OP...
rbraden said: So all $160 are valid now? That'd be enough to make me jump.
Edit: looked them up and they do all appear to be valid. I'm in.No, only $100 (3 rebates in the OP) are valid now (purchases made 9/16 - 9/30). The $160 was for purchases made 9/9 - 9/15.

I had 3 of 4 rebates denied for stupid (untrue) reasons, Yes a simple phone call corrected them, no arguments or anything, just the standard, "because you are a vaulable customer We have corrected the problem and you should expect to recieve your rebate in 4 - 6 weeks"
This has also been the case for almost all of my CA rebates from the "crazy deal". Amazingly, only one of the McAfee rebates had any problems and a phone call took care of it. All Symantec rebates have been fine. Since I'm pretty sure all are processed at the same processing department, CA most have directed the rebate house to deny most claims. If CA didn't direct them to do so, then they probably have a big financial incentive to deny the CA rebates, as I've had close to 95% denied initially, yet all only took a phone call, with no requests for resubmission, or proof of anything. The fact that they do it so easily, you know that they know that they are in the wrong in denying the rebate in the first place.
On the crazy deal, It would have been a great test for some State A.G.'s office to check up on rebate house's, as some of my rebates were denied for lack of email confirmation, when the product was purchase in the store. Word to the wise, for those that ventured into the "crazy deal" that aren't veterans of rebates. When you get your email confirmation, immediatly check status , and if denied call them the same day.

"Proof of competitive upgrade" is defined on some rebates as the orginal CD and page from manual of competitive product. On other rebates upgrade is not defined. What qualifies if no definition given?

I used a photocopy of a Norton Antivirus CD. Both rebates were rejected initially (really quick -- less than a week after mailing them!!!) and both were approved after I called up to inquire about the invalid status.

Some forms ask for both the receipt and the email confirmation. I include the "email confirmation" from CA confirming that I submitted the rebate online.

Can I make the PM by phone? It seems price matching is only available at CC stores...
Thank you for pointing this out. Potentially (very good chance) another $40. All of my rebates from the prior deal are now valid. I am still wondering if there are any router rebates for this particular product...

should I mail all the rebates in one envelop? what does Proof of Upgrade mean???

Read back a few posts for meaning of Proof of Upgrade.
all my rebates from last week deal are showing up on CA as valid, thinking of jumping on this one again, but hate the PM part. My CC never allows me to do so. Last time was lucky as I got the PM thorugh phone. Still waiting for my refund since it takes 10 processign days.

Can you format the USB drive if you just want a -$74.00 USB drive?
