True. FatWalletLurker, the Panny rebate was dead as of 5/3. What rebate are you talking about? |

Any good combinations for this week? Looking for a 42" or bigger TV for a great price. didn't see anything super appealing in their ad this week. Has anyone tried a Dynex TV? review? |

Has anyone used this combination of deals recently (not Panny)? Trying to buy a Samsung for $1099 and buying the blue-ray, etc to get the (at least?!) $430 discount. (with intent to return everything except TV, of course!). Anyone done this successfully recently? |

Even with return of Install, you can save a max of $400 I guess you are including the reward certificate which you get out of this transaction, right? One more thing, Install isn't easy to return so it might not be worth trying.... |

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough, I was adding the directv discount, which doesn't really make sense. Yeah, I'm not going to try and return install, just the blu-ray & audio (super faint-hearted!). So does this mean that you guys are still being able to do this? Thanks! |

I'm thinking of doing this again...gonna try to combine the following deals: 1) comcast $100 extra off installation with (fake) signup 2) 42" westinghouse for 1049 3) $400 off (including install discount) 4) eat $150 install (but getting $200 off) 5) possibly stack 12% coupon If the 12% takes me below the 999 req'd, i can find a tv for 1200 and use the coupon. Any tips? thoughts? |

Re: step 4 They will only rebate you what you paid for the install ($150), not $200 regardless. |

Quick question. When I was at BB today I bought a new samsung 40 inch lcd. Excellent tv btw, model 4071 something. The hard sold me on the warranty, they claimed if there was 1 dead pixel that they would replace the TV, blah blah blah. I figure it is just some kind of gimmick sales tactic they use to get more money out of you. But alas 2 years ago I did buy a 32 inch westy and it does have 1 dead pixel and I did buy the 4 year warranty, so has anyone ever taken them up on their one dead pixel warranty? |

SteveG said:Quick question. .. so has anyone ever taken them up on their one dead pixel warranty? you could be the first. but even still, it's ymmv depending on the seasonal manager. unless that 1pixel warranty is in black and white, they dont have to give you a thing. unless also if you have it recorded what was promised then i think verbal agreements are legally binding also YMMV depending on local laws. |

unless also if you have it recorded what was promised then i think verbal agreements are legally binding also YMMV depending on local laws. I brought it in, and after a long run around of "I don't know if it's covered" vs. "They said it is when they sold me a warranty yesterday", they called into their service center, and it is covered, except it's in home service on 26" and larger tvs. So a tech came out and looked at it. There were 3 pixels dead now, couple more I didn't notice before today. Anyway someone is supposed to call me. |

a tip for returning. you can return everything all at once except but they will add charges back on the card. so tell the individual behind the register that you will bring the tv back later and that you did not have any room for the tv. that is a way to be able to get return |
