Details:

Obtain an official claim form when you convert in a single transaction at least 30 U.S. dollars (in coins or cash) into an Amazon.com® gift certificate at participating Coinstar Centers. The claim form will be displayed at the end of qualified Coinstar receipts.

Complete the claim form in its entirety. An email address is required for electronic delivery of the $10 Amazon.com gift certificate.

Submit the completed claim form. Claims must be postmarked by 11/8/2007. Claims postmarked after the applicable date, incomplete submissions, and illegible submissions will be returned as ineligible.

Mail to “Coinstar GC Offer”, PO Box 91258, Bellevue, WA 98009. Receive the $10 Amazon.com gift certificate electronically. If a valid email address is not provided, it will be received by US Postal Service. Allow 6–8 weeks for processing. If terms and conditions are not met, the $10 Amazon.com gift certificate will not be sent. Coinstar is not responsible for any claims lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.

General terms and conditions:
The $10 Amazon.com gift certificate offer ends 11/4/07 or while supplies last. Offer valid at participating Coinstar Centers in the U.S. only and excludes Puerto Rico. Offer good on qualified transactions made between October 1, 2007 and November 4, 2007. Transactions occurring before or after these dates are not eligible for this offer. Update on mailing only bottom portion: If you mailed only the bottom portion, you may still get your GC, I did.

coinstar machines take bills?

so at 8.9 cents per dollar fee, your end up pocketing about $7.50. Cost of gas to get 30 bucks in change...the weird looks you get standing their with a box full of rolled quarters...am I missing something?

I thought that the Coinstar machines didn't charge the fee if you got Amazon.com gift cert. instead of cash. Has that promotion been eliminated?

Edit: I guess it depends on where you are! From their FAQ's:

"Is there a charge to use a Coinstar® machine?

Yes. For Coins to Cash™ service, we charge an 8.9% processing fee in the United States, a 9.8% processing fee in Canada, and a 7.9% processing fee in the U.K. Some retailers or financial institutions may choose to subsidize this fee. Coin counting is free in select regions of the U.S. if you convert your change to a nationally-branded gift card or eCertificate such as Starbucks®, Borders®, iTunes, Pier1 Imports® or Amazon.com®. To find out if this new ‘no fee’ service is available in your area, go to the machine locator, advanced search. "

I beleave there is no service charge if you take the money in the form of a gift card.I have seen this at some coinstar machines,not sure if at all.

Just so no one thinks that this is going to be uber-easy to take advantage of: Limit 1 per name or household. But, I am sure that FW members will follow the exact wording of the promotion

Let's stop spreading bad info.. They only charge a fee on converting coins to CASH. Converting coins to an Amazon GC is free.

since the gift card bonus is electronically delivered.. I'm thinking you'd only need a valid alternate email address to get additional bonuses...
