I'd be interested to hear of anyone else's experience in getting a 7200 RPM drive. |

And you'll hear the same for Western Digital, Seagate, Maxtor, Fujitsu, Samsung...My almost 3 y.o. Hitachi 60GB 2.5" 7200rpm (7K200) has recently died just few weeks before the warranty is expired. Set up repair online sent the drive in to CA. Recieved the replaicement direct from China. You mean the original 7K60...the first 7200rpm 2.5" drive to market. Exciting times.Yep. |

Thanks OP - Just went out to get one. There were only two left at the BB I went to that had the DTG serial (remaining were some other S/N). Won't be able to check until I get back later today. Hopefully its a 7200 like you said as I just purchased a stand alone drive for $215 recently as I use VMWare quite a bit on my laptop. |

Just picked one up from my local BB. It had the DTG serial number on the bottom. Used the 10% coupon with no problem and plugged it into the laptop. It identified the drive as a HTS722020K9SA00. |

I just picked a DTG one up from the North Ave store in Chicago, cracked her open, and it's a 7K200. I left 5 on the shelf, all DTGs. |

Hmmmm... Tempting to get one of these and try to slap it into my HP tx1000z I just ordered. Anyone know if it will work or how difficult it might be? I've read through tabletpcreview.com's forums on the subject, but couldn't find any info. Any help would be appreciated. |

For any laptop or tablet PC you can almost always find a hardware reference manual on the manufacturer's web site. Simply RTFM and you'll be fine. HP TX1000Z Manuals Took me about 2 minutes to find them. It would have been quicker but HP's web site isn't the easiest one to navigate. |

Got the last DTG one at Ann arbor, MI store. Will try to put it into my T60p. Btw, how to open it? use flathead driver to open it along with USB port? |

Under the serial # tag are two screws, remove them first, pull forward to get the bottom of, maybe run thin flathead to loosen it... I kinda sacrificed mine by pulling it apart but I'll crazy glue it together when I replace the drive. |

*it's important that you slide the bottom piece back to separate, or you will break the 6-8 tabs holding the enclosure together. |
