Thanks OP!!! Just picked one up at the Porter Ranch, CA store# 130. Used the 10% off coupon for a total of $ $134.99 + $11.14 tax(8.25%)=$146.13 They had a total of 4 on the shelf, but only 3 were the ones with serial# starting with "DTG". I bought one so there should be 2 left. They are a bit hard to find since they put the products all over the store. They are in the computer department along the right side wall towards the back of the store where they keep all the hard drives on the shelf. If you're in the Porter Ranch area and want to save another 1% in tax just head over to the Simi Valley BB store since Ventura county tax is 7.25% instead of 8.25% in Porter Ranch(LA county). Ok maybe not worth the drive for 1% additional saving but every bit helps, HaHa! =) |

Anyone have problems using coupon as a printout? My bestbuy is run by people who hate their lives and take it out on customers. |

No problems with coupons. Confirmed that DTG has the 7200 drive - this is definitely a steal. |

Check if your T60 uses SATA connection, and if it does, then no problem with using the drive. According to the Hitachi compatibility lising it will work fine with a Lenovo T60. I bought two for my T60P. |

My old laptop has Win98SE and USB 1.1. Will this drive work with that laptop via USB port? TIA |

This deal is FLAMING, thanks OP. 7K200 is the FASTEST laptop drive ever made according to www.storagereview.com and the 200GB part sells for over $200 at Newegg!! I have the 100GB part and it owns, I'll buy this 200GB drive for my PS3. |

TIA I believe laptop must have/use SATA HD in it which is mostly like not the case with laptops older than 3 years. Check your laptop manual to determine the HD in your laptop. |

Did you miss the part where they said "VIA USB"? Yes, it will work via USB with your computer, but it will be so slow with usb 1.1 that it wouldn't matter if it was 100,000 rpm. |

TIA It will work, and you will need to install the USB storage driver under Windows 98. And also, since you only have USB 1.1, you won't be able to take advantage of the high speed. Time to upgrade. Think... putting a 8 cylinder super duper engine into a bicycle, it has power but you won't be able to enjoy it. |

Perssian said:FYI for anyone who was thinking about using this in the PS3 as I was. Looks like the drive speed doesn't help out much. They recommend you stay away from the higher rpm speeds due to the heat, which is understandable. Two things are flawed with that study. First they used a 7200.1 which is a slow drive, second they tested Ridge Racer 7 and not games that load off the HDD (like Warhawk). Also the 7K200 generates LESS heat than many 5400 drives, see the heat benchmarks at storage review. |

Thanks. Take the hard drive out the enclosure and it will tell you the speed on the label which is attached on the hard drive. |

Thanks OP! Picked up a few in the SF Bay Area. Emeryville and Pleasant Hill have no more of the DTG drives. The packaging is also slightly different between the 7200rpm drives and the 5400rpm drives, the 7200rpm packaging is all white around the hard drive, whereas the non 7200rpm ones have small blue icons on this white background. Also, you don't need to take apart the hard drive to find out whether it is the 7k200. Simply connect it via the USB and you can look at the device name and if it is the 7200rpm one it will say 7k200 in the name. |

Thanks. You don't even have to open the enclosure to check. Plug the external drive into the computer through USB. Open My Computer, right-click on the drive and click properties to see if it's a HTS722020K9SA00. |
