This is somewhat like the Recent CA Internet Security Deal at Circuit City, but with a couple of twists that makes it different and potentially shakier as well as not as rich. It may be best for afficianados of CA rebate deals who don't mind the risks.
Circuit City is advertising CA Antivirus 2008 Plus Anti Spyware at $4.99 after $45 rebate in this week's ad.
Carebatecenter.com brings up 2 different $25 "particpating retailers" upgrade rebates for this product at Circuit City but does NOT bring up the $45 referenced in the ad and online. cc.com doesn't offer in instore pickup option for me, but they had it instore and I picked it up.
No rebate form printed out at the store, so it appears that you must use the online form at cc.com and mail it in.
What is weird about this is that the form at cc.com gives CA's regular Parago mailing address sans a Dept.# line, and in its body lists "Promotion ID JW015". I've never seen a CA rebate with other than a ##-##### offer number. The other thing that is weird is that the UPC lists "CA Anti-Virus Plus CA Anti-Spyware 2008 Consignment (No Rebate) NA". I looked at other CA titles and they also odd jargon on the UPC like "low price consignment NA" but this title was the only that had the no rebate verbage. Could be ominous, particularly for the 2 upgrade rebates.
So potentially you could make $45 less sales tax. But there is also the potential for rebates going haywire for a variety of reasons.
None of the rebates requires the original upc or receipt, so I'll leave the package intact and if I get the stuff sent in fast I might be able to return it if the rebates blow up.
Actually I've never used CC's Parago link, but I tried it and it does not show up there.

Last week CC had the CA ISS flash drive with a JW012 rebate. JW*** is not a CC rebate, and as far as I can tell, it is not a CA rebate either. Last time I did one of these rebates for a non-existent program, it never got processed and was a real hassle to get approved, so I am cautious about these JW*** programs.
Has anyone been able to find any additional information about this program, or actually found a CSR who says it is in their system and it will be processed?
Also note, that at CC you have 30 days to return the product, so if you are thinking about it, buy this week and return later if you cant get confirmation on the rebate.
I was checking the carebatecenter.com and lo and behold the Circuit City Rebate now shows up there....sort of.
It shows up as " Promotion: Offer #07-81427 CA Anti-Virus PLUS CA Anti-Spyware 2008 $45 Mail-In Rebate Purchased from Circuit City or CircuitCity.com ". Problem is later in the page it says it is $15. I called Parago, and the guy I spoke with says it shows up as $45 and the $15 must be a misprint.
And thru carebatecenter all that is requested is a copy of receipt and the notorious confirmation email. That offer number does not produce a result in the ccityrebates.com portal.
But at least its now possible to submit at least $65 in rebates online and all should go thru, so the out of pocket expense is covered.
I'll be doing the 3 online thru carebatecenter and what the heck I may send in the Circuit City rebate form to boot and see what happens. This is CA, and its not inconceivable that I will end up $140 in rebates for a $50 purchase.

I don't quite understand your math. Why there's $140 rebate?

How long does it usually take for CA rebates I submitted some in August and still have not received them. They all say valid but have not changed for over a month.

I got a $45 check in the mail yesterday for 07-81427. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the online submission form showed both the $45 and $15 amounts, and when I called I was assured it would be $45. So it seems to have worked out OK for me, but apparently not for you. You should have a check in hand soon if not already. If it is $15 instead of $45 I'd give them a call immediately.
Both $25 upgrade rebates show as valid for me. The JW015 submission by snail mail never showed up anywhere, probably treated as a duplicate of 07-81427. So it looks like I should net $45 less sales tax which is not too hateful. Hope you are able to get all the money you are entitled to.
