Worked yesterday. I got Band of Brothers for $39.xx shipped. Excellent price for 10 hours of a great HBO series that was over $100 last year. |

There tends to be more major new releases in November, along with the holiday hype, so that's the sale tht gets the most publcity. They run other good sales periodically, but thw 20% is their biggie. I rushed to get a second order in last night before the codes expired. |

The second half of my order showed today and half of it is still wrong. It shouldn't take a month, 4 boxes shipped, 2 CC charges and one cancelled CC charge to get a simple 4-item order filled, should it? Edit ... I called and they are sending a prepaid shipping label so I can return the second copy of a movie set I ordered. One item is still missing and is now back ordered, even though they allegedly sent it to me twice already! They say they will ship it overnight on December 8. So the only problem now is that they charged my CC for everything weeks ago and it will be over a month before I actually receive all the items. That's totally unacceptable. I have placed my first and last order with Deep Discount DVD and I wouldn't order from them again if they had a 50% off sale. They are untrustworthy. They make Amazon's bizarre shipping system look good by comparison. Advice to anyone thinking about ordering from Deep Discount DVD in the future: go to resellerratings.com and check out the reviews first. If I had done that 3 weeks ago I never would have ordered from them in the first place, 20% or no 20% discount. I'm changing my rating on this deal from green to red. Not that anyone reads the expired deals forum, but I'm doing it anyway. |

The 1 and only time I had a problem, was with a crushed package from the handler carrying the box. DDD sent me a shipping label and paid for the return, got me the item I ordered within a week turnaround. I have spent over $400 with them through more than a dozen different transactions. My girlfriend has done the same as well. (We have a combined DVD collection nearing 500 thanks to DDD) |

I've had numerous (more than 10) orders ship quickly and without issue over the past 2 yrs. |

After sending back a damaged Alfred Hitchcock set (which had a floater) and calling them innumerable times, I received the so called 'replacement' Alfred Hitchcock set today. Can you believe what these bastards have done ? They have repackaged the same defective set with shrink wrap and sent it back. The same floater in the same title - worse, there is a deep scratch on it this time that the disc does not even play. Will anyone bother buying from these mofos again ? The original order was placed on 11/18 and I received the 'replacement' today after calling them no less than 4 times. So about 50 days later, I still don't have a non-defective set. Also, can anyone suggest what strong action to take against these bastards ? thanks |
