For TV or big items, they'll give you a certificate saying "winner of the deal" or something. You can either pick it up right away or come back to get it within three days.

I am blessed/cursed with at least five Fry's locations within a 30 minute drive of my house.

Fry's rocks until you actually shop there. It is a bizarre combination of fantastic selection, high standard prices, repackaged returned/refurb gear (sold as new), a painful return process, and a staff that is huge in number, small in expertise.

If you are a careful shopper, you can get some great deals, but randomly buying gear there will result in you spending much more money than going online.

I think Fry's have the best Black Friday deals so far. All other stores like Best Buy, Circuit City etc have none of the deals which can be termed as "DoorBusters" which they are advertising. They might be "BallBusters" deals for the guys standing in line in that cold for those stores to open up at 5am !!

It has some HDMI sync issues with Xbox 360 that you have to call a tech out to have fixed with a new board, but it's free. I have last year's LNS4095 and paid $1350 for it on a closeout deal, and it's a freakin awesome tube itself but this deal is nuts. They may be moving stock for the 120Hz model that is out, but that one is still pretty pricey.

Wait, what are you talking about? I don't see it on the ad... I see a 720P, not a 1080P set.

Top of the 2nd page, Item 5199896 which is the LNT4661 on frys.com. The one kinda shady thing is that they list the regular price with "before savings" under it, and then say $900 off above it. Seems odd they would do that. Many times manufacturers have a rule that you cannot advertise one of their products for under a certain price, I wonder if it is a way around that or if there is some kind of catch to that deal.

Yeah, the other stores just plainly suck. I was planning to sleep at home on BF, guess I changed my mind. Fry's rocks.

I never see the San Diego/San Marcos ad online. Thanks Londo! I guess I know where one of my stops is going to be on Black Friday.

Thanks OP! Hope they will offer some of the sales items online with free shipping. Fingers crossed.

Wow! I didn't notice that was BEFORE saving. If that 46" 1080P Samsung LCD TV is actually $1300, I'd wait at Fry's tomorrow noon and buy one! Thanks!

Just watch Fry's and their craptacular return policies. I know that if I'm going to shell out $1000-$2000 on an HDTV, the warranty and return policy better be up to par. Just a reminder among the euphoria (those $1200-$1300 46"+ LCDs look nice, but . . . .)

wow, this year's Frys BF deals kick ass!! Staples and BB's deals in comparison are laughable.

Any chance you can go into work today, tomorrow, the rest of the year? Then you won't have so much time to give red to every post in this thread. BTW, it really doesn't matter, I marked them all green so it doesn't show up anyway.

I mean maybe its just me...but what's so great about waking up at the crack of dawn..or camping out for a bunch of crap, that's maybe 10% cheaper than normal, few in quantity, and possible to get on FW on a weekly basis.

Black Friday is for rookies...Pros sleep late and get their deals in November while sitting at home in their PJ's

No catch. My guess is it's certain items that the manufacturers don't want shown in an ad under a certain price point. Mitsubishi tv's don't even say the price off, it's usually just "low price" or something similar. I could be wrong though...

it doesn't matter, frys and frys.com are different. different sales usually and you cannot buy online and return in store. so it is good to have both!!!

I found some high-rezz JPEGs here: way faster download
http://frysforum.com/discussion/232/frys-black-friday-2007-ad-released/

btw the 24" Samsung for $349 is a really good deal. I can't wait.

I hear the ad covers most of SoCal. Anyone else can verify this?

They have a large distribution presence at Maumee, at the old air force base (I believe).

Anyone have any experience with BF @ the Chicago Fry's? Would getting there at 4:30 be too late for the tvs/monitors?

alert mods

Nobody want the ECS/AMD mobo? 60 is the lowest I have ever seen.

I'm disappointed in the hard drive deals.

The Maxtor drives are the same ones from LAST YEAR's BF sale, but $10 cheaper.
If they're like the ones I bought last year, they are re-badged Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 models.
