Any chance based on past experience if they will have any of these online? Nearest Fry's is 100's of miles away

Q6600(with ECS) and E6750(with aBIT) both 199, which one is better?

By far the best BF sale for computer related items. I was in two minds whether to upgrade my PC or not, but looking at what $500 buys you (all at Fry's), I think I'm going to take the plunge. A Quad-core with 4GB ram/300GB harddrive and 22" LCD for $500 is hard to pass up..... I dont know if all the components are compatible with one another, I guess I'll pick them up first and then ask the question before paying for them.

Case: MYSTIQUE 632S mid tower case - $0 (50-50 MIR)
Power supply: Antec 500W power supply - $7 (42-35)
Motherboard: ECS 671T-M - $198.99
CPU: Intel®-Core 2 Quad Q6600 (bundled with motherboard) - $0
Memory: OCZ DDR2 PC6400 4GB (4x1GB) - 39.98 (119.98-80)
Hard disk: Maxtor 300GB SATA drive - 49.99
Video card: EVGA GeForce 6400 256MB - $0 (50-50)
CD/DVD drive: 18x INTERNAL DVD±RW DRIVE - $14.99 (34.99-20)
Keyboard: Inland Pro 9000 keyboard - $0 (4-4)
Mouse: BTC Optical mouse - $2.99
Speakers: Inland PC speakers - $2.99
Monitor: 22" widescreen LCD - $139.99 (189.99-50)
Printer Canon printer (bundled with LCD) - $0
Operating System: Vista Home premium OEM - $99.99

TOTAL : 556.91 (After $289 in MIR)

I just came back from the Woodland Hills Fry's store. They had dozens of the Samsung 50" HPT5044 Plasma displays in the TV section. I asked the salesperson to load one of them up for me and he hesitantly did so - he seemed nervous and a little cautious about the whole ordeal.

Anyway, he mentioned that the only reason those TV's were stockpiled like that was because they had no room in the back of the store and that the particular Samsung Plasma TV (HPT5044) that I wanted was not going to be going on sale on BF. I'm assuming that Fry's stocked that many on the showroom floor only because they had expected to sell them all on BF.

So, now I'm going to wait and see if the TV does indeed go on sale at the Woodland Hills location. If so, I plan to go back in and either price match the difference on Friday, or do a return and buy it on the spot for the BF price. Wish me luck guys!

I was there 2 yrs ago, got there about 2am and there were about 100 people ahead of me. I was getting some cheap computer parts so wasnt to worried about the TV's and such but most of the big sets were gone by the time I left that day (about an hour). I am talking about the one off of 355, its the only one I know of in Illinois.

btw the 24" Samsung for $349 is a really good deal. I can't wait.

I hear the ad covers most of SoCal. Anyone else can verify this?

Well, the ad is slightly different in the LA region, but otherwise most of the products on this ad is the same. I only had a chance to see the Ad today. There certainly are some good bundles

If you check out the charts at Tom's Hardwareyou'll see that the 6750 is faster than the quad core in some apps and slower in others (depending on the use of the extra cores I think). If you already have a good M/B the quad-core deal is good (lowest price on priewatch is $264), otherwise plan on getting another M/B. If you need both a M/B and cpu the e6750 is a good deal (~$193 for the cpu and ~$62-75AR for the abit).

Ah, black friday. I remember a few years ago, I stopped by Frys on a whim to try and get in at opening, as I was headed to another store that opened an hour later across the street. Must have been 500+ people in line, all the way across the parking lot. In all that confusion, I just walked up and merged 10ft before the door and in 10 min after opening. Felt guilty for about 5 minutes, but only ended up getting a couple things there were plenty of.

Would like one of those MB combos this year though, all ready to upgrade. E6750 + Abit I35-E for $198.99 (40MIR) or Q6600 + ECS 671 for $198.99

I found Fry's BF deals are good, since they have enough in quantity so my kind of late wake too get few

I want to ask the same question

I took a stroll to frys today because I was bored and while I was there they had all the 50 inch samsung plasmas out and ready for BF. They at least had 50 of them. Hopefully those of you that intend on getting one will get home happy without much of a wait. Good luck
