My CSR was EXCEPTIONALLY friendly. He kept apologizing for the wait (not that bad). I was credited for both games.
The Darkness Originally $56.99 Now $19.99
Bioshock Originally $49.99 Now $39.99
I paid $49.99 out the door, he credited me an additional $47.00!
Two Xbox360 games for $2.99!
YMMV, indeed!

Thanks, I got a price match for Bioshock (-$10). The CSR (Erin) informed me that many video games were discounted today, so I should check my other purchases. I asked about the Darkness, but she kindly pointed out that I had already received a discount for that game when I bought it with Bioshock.
I would try again with another CSR, but I think I'd feel guilty about getting these two games for such a cheap amount.

My CSR (Sara) recognized that The Darkness was already credited as a promotion, but immediately credited $10 to my account. The whole process from the time I started dialing until I hung up was about 3 min and 12 seconds.
I had forgotten to use http://www.priceprotectr.com/ as a means to track my Amazon order. This is a free service that will keep track of items you've ordered from places that offer a price match / low price guarantee and will email you if the price goes down withing the time period that allows the matching.
I gave them the order number, verified email and billing address and then told the nice CSR that I the price of the games I bought were now lower. She checked the current price and was a little surprised that The Darkness dropped $37.
After putting me on hold, she refunded $10 for Bioshock and $37 for The Darkness.
Refund date: November 24, 2007 Refund Amount: $47.00

Ever hear the saying "Loose lips sink ships"?
Well since everyone and their mother started calling, now all anyone is going to get is a $10 refund.
I was told early today that I would get a $10 and a 37 refund as per the CS agents request.
I just went into my account and saw I only got $10. Those who say they got a $47 refund, better recheck their accounts in a day or two. Obviously the CS dept. caught on.
Thanks alot.

Thank you OP. Just got off the phone with Amazon who are crediting me 40-something bucks. CSR spotted that there had been a promotion used but went ahead with price adjustments on both games after a couple of minutes on hold. This went from a good deal (2 games for $50) to unbelievable (2 games for <$10.) Now to return the darkness to WalMart and pick up something else (Halo, CoD maybe.)
Sudhakar2k - that's the windows version of the game, not 360. It's a good price, just a bit OT.

Be sure to empty the salvation army bucket on your way out as well.

Taking advantage of a legit company policy to get a good deal is fine, but committing fraud just for a few bucks is just pathetic. If you're going to take part in that unethical behavior, then don't brag about it.

"Since your purchase was so recent, I've requested a refund of $37.00 and $10.00 to your credit card."
Got this message by email, but I dont quite understand... Am I getting a credit of $37 on Amazon, like store credit? And then $10 back to my card? Can someone clarify?

The way I read it...it means you will get a credit of $37 to your credit card AND a credit of $10 to you credit card. They were just clarifying that it would show the two amounts for credit and not one credit of $47.

ohh ok so thats how people were getting $47, weird how they worded it though. that would be great!
The discounts we offer for items available on Amazon.com can vary from time to time. I've checked your order and found that we now offer a greater discount on items than at the time you placed your order.
Since your purchase was so recent, I've requested a refund of $47 to your credit card. This amount reflects the difference between the price you were charged for the item and the current discounted price. This refund should be processed in the next few days and will appear as a credit on your next billing statement.

Oh man, I knew I should have bitten on this deal. Really kicking myself now. Congrats to those of you who were smart enough to get the deal and the price adjustment.
Thank you. Got my $10 back this morning. Almost got $47 until she realized how much the total of the order was. $10 was all I requested, but she actually suggested checking the other item too.

I was noticing the price drop yesterday but was hesistant to call in on this. Glad you were successful so I just gave them a ring.
My CSR gave me a $60 refund to my credit card, already shown on my Amazon account! Plus a $10 Amazon voucher for waiting so long!
Here's how she broke it down, I guess she just looked at the item pages but she knew that I got it for a promotional rate too so I was really confused on what she was doing. I didn't even ask for the PM on the Darkness either!
Darkness $59.99 -19.99 ------ $40 credit
Bioshock $59.99 -39.99 ----- $20 credit
So I got my games free, plus made $10.01 AND a $10 voucher!
EDIT My Amazon account now shows TWO $60 refunds for that order...I have no clue what this woman did...I'll probably get an e-mail later on...
