JeebusSaves said:dealcather said:I might try it this time around. Will have to look into all the rebates before jumping in. BTW, Where are the promotion details about 20% off accessories?
I haven't seen anything about it online, but my local store has a sign next to the computers saying if you buy 3 or more accessories you get 20% off all of them. Ask your store manager/employee about it. They've had that promo for at least a few months. If you need to butter up your store manager for any of this, be sure to express interest in an extended warranty. That's one of the few items stores get incentives/commission on. You can buy it and then just take the receipt to a different location (or the same one if you're feeling bold and/or don't care what they think of you if you run into the same manager again) and get a refund. |

I tried, but it is later in the afternoon now and I can't find the Mcafee rebates, so I'm a little concerned. Any link for the Mcafee rebates? JeebusSaves said:lanbaba said:Will I get even if I get a HP dv9620us, now it is price at $1050? If I get all the rebates?

If anyone planning to do this deal should beware that Norton Rebates now require that Computer/Shredder/etc needs to be purchased on the same receipt. I haven't checked the requirements of others McAfee/others but you should do that before heading to the store. You might wanna add Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (SKU 711088)to your list. |

Nice, yet crazy post OP. Evidence that some of us FWers really need to get a life however! (Note I am including myself in that group). Important Note for rebate offer 07-76086: 07-76086 will be rejected for invalid purchase location. That specific offer is not valid for Staples purchases as written per the terms on the rebate form. Check other FW Hot Deals where the Norton 360/Shredder rebates have been successfully done. Many FWers have posted that all of the rebates work except for 07-76086, which is for a $20 prepaid Visa. These FWers have even tried calling the rebate center to have it validated without success, so the rebate center is definitely taking a hardline approach on this particular rebate. Try if you like for the cost of the stamp and your time, just don't expect to receive this one. The rest of the MIRs should fly but may require a follow up call to the rebate center to validate any denials. If you don't have the time or organizational skills for this deal, STAY AWAY from it or risk losing some serious Christmas cash! Personally, there is simply too much money and time for me to tie up in this deal with the holidays so close. Good luck however to those brave/crazy/dumb? enough to tackle this deal! |

Can anyone explain why this deal is BM and not online. I had done this one last time with online purchases only and since most of the rebates go to corresponding rebate centers, they are valid online as well. Is it because of the 12% coupon as cust appreication which we can not use online? NM. OP himself has clarified why BM is "better" than online |

I did the last deal online, so I didn't get the extra 20% instore. For those that did, can you tell us if they take 20% off each item individually, or do they lump it all together at the end? Even if the rebates are strictly enforced not to exceed the purchase price, you still might be able to make that extra 20%, depending on what they decide the purchase price is. For example, if you buy 10 software for $50 each and get a $100 discount at the bottom of the ticket(20% off), then $500 back in rebates, you still end up ahead. If they deduct 20% off each item, it might show up as paying $40 each, so you would get the $100 discount, then $400 back in rebates and come out even, depending on how the rebate house handles it. |

It really depends on the store manager whether they give you 20% on all the items (which in my case they took it off each item individually) or they only give you 20% for up to 3 items. I was lucky enough to get 20% on all the software. Still waiting on some CA rebates to come through, though. Overall, it was a great deal! Ok, I'm really curious about this one. After researching the rebate numbers listed, I noticed 6 of them were not found in the Staples rebate center: 06-53469, 07-76074, 07-76073, 07-76072, 07-64635, & 07-76086) and just about every one of them require an original UPC. Where are those 6 rebate numbers coming from and how do you get around sending an original UPC? |

This is a B&M deal only due to various reasons: 1. 20% or 12% (Customer appreciation discount next week) discount is only available for store purchase. 2. Some Rebates like TurboTax with Shredder are only valid for B&M Purchases
$20 Rebate on Combined Purchase of a Select Staples 6-Sheet Cross Cut Shredder (SKU's 615700, 713327) AND a Tax Software (Select SKU's) at Staples Stores ONLY Rebate Offer Number: 07-89258 |
