Just got my last batch of rebate checks. They all came through sooner or later. Made over $200 on a new desktop with idiotproof extended warranty... I'm happy. |

What constitutes a "computer"? Not sure if this is relevant to this deal, but I recently bought a barebones computer system (no HD or OS), wasn't sure if that works for these kinds of rebates that depend on the purchase of a "computer"... |

Never argue, you ZASDASAS indianakrips said: I just finished validating all my rebates. Paid 1399 for laptop + software + taxes. I should get back 1420.
One piece of advise on validating the rebates. Don't call and ask for multiple rebates at the same time. Couple of times mcafee rebates were rejected on the grounds that the total rebates are exceeding the purchase price of the product. I argued with them that the rebate terms don't mention this clause but didn't succeed to convince them. Then I started calling back with one offer at a time and was able to validate all of them . |

Next week's ad (March 2) has a long list of software titles - nine are free, nine are $9.99 with any tax software purchase, plus FAR Peachtree (after $140 rebate), and Norton 2008 FAR for upgraders. Weekly Ad for New York Area, click on Sneak Peek for next week (March 2) Perhaps the stars are in alignment for another round of craziness? Or if a thread has been started for one, can someone kindly point me to it? Many thanks! |

I just spent an hour working on it, and I got the price down to $170 out of pocket for that laptop (and that is with $900+ spent and $750 in rebates. Not sure it is worth the effort...yet |

Any kind soul to help a FW brother out? --- I mailed in the copy of the UPC for all my Norton 360 rebates and I just found out I needed to send the Proof of Purchase for couple of them! I have already thrown the box out and they said I can fax the POP to them. Can someone share a copy of the Proof of Purchase?? Thank you very much for your willingness to help! isurf123@gmail.com |
