Let's Play Together Peek 'n Play Discovery Mat would be age appropriate, not as exciting as lincoln logs, but less of a choke hazard.

Nice prices, BUT how can you trust Amazon ? If the same item is offered at another store for nearly the same price, or even more, I'd sure pick the other store because you can't rely that Amazon will ship.

On "Black Friday" I bought a Logitech mouse for $40.00 from Dell promotion, but then I canceled when I saw on Amazon the same Mouse was $36.99 plus a Amazon Manufacturer Rebate Coupon.

Two weeks later Amazon says it made a mistake and won't ship. OK I can see that for a normal days business, but NOT for a special 1 day only promotion that attracts thousands buyers, and then renege, to break a promise; that's just not worth shopping on Amazon. I also lost out on the coupon that Amazon promoted. There was no mistake on the coupon.

Not only did you loose out on the "Black Friday" Special, and the coupon, but the availability to buy the same product at Discounted Price at another retailer -- cause that Special Day is gone.

Weird is: I learned from Amazon that their inventory ran down. They only had 3 mice left. But their email to me said: "Pricing error" ---- now which was it ?? It sure appears to me Amazon can use this excuse for anything.

I bought 80% of the items I listed and several I bought more than one of for our local toy drive. All my items have shipped. I count at over 40 boxes coming to my house on Monday! (my poor ups girl!) I have also called Amazon 3 times because the prices went down & they refunded me the $$$ without hesitation.

I have always had great service from Amazon!

Perhaps we should make a distinction between Amazon's sellers (who use Amazon's service) and that of Amazon.com,Inc. sales. ( I haven't had any problem either with its sellers. But many many have had problems with Amazon.com,Inc. sales. Just research the net - you'll be amazed. I never had fire of my house either, yet that doesn't mean not to use precautions.

BUT How can we trust you? You just ordered one product and just register in this forum (Dec 2007). Most of us here had been doing most of their shopping in Amazon because of their good reputation and service. I recently bought 50+ toys for all of the kids in my family and friends and everything came. Last BF i bought a camcorder and a digital camera, still it came.

"Two weeks later Amazon says it made a mistake and won't ship.

Why did you wait for two weeks? you should've seen it coming if you had checked their estimated delivery/shipping.

I didn't wait for almost 2 weeks -- Amazon.com INC. kept sending me an email saying that the shipping date was moved up. Then moved up again. Finally the 3rd email said: "Pricing Error". I got the 3rd email the day before the mouse was scheduled to be shipped.

Had they said that in the 1st place, then I would have had enough time to buy at Dell where MX Rev. Mouse was still $40.00 with free shipping. So I lost that opportunity too.

I think every consumer is taking chances when buying an item on sale at Amazon, because when that Promo day is over, so will the sales be at other sites. Sales are usually seasonal or on a special day (such as Black Friday - and only comes once a year.) Is it worth the chance ?

Amazon did this to me to on the logitech webcam deal. There "error" cost me $50 as I lost out on the same one day BF only rebate at another vendor. Amazon not only waited nearly two weeks to notify me of the pricing error, after a week they re-confirmed the order stating it would take a little longer to ship than they originaly thought.

Will I still buy from Amazon? Yes if the deal is good enough, esp with the free shipping (max this year $200 fedex 2nd day shipping for free on a single item). But if another price is competitive or even a few dollars more I will always go with another vendor.

Number of posts mean nothing. Most people are lurkers and only bother to register if they have something to say. I'd trust them over typical FW eBay scammer with 1,000,000 posts any day of the week.

Amazon good service? They have a great web site but I would grade them a C- if you actually try to get customer service.

I've been buying from Amazon for years and have never had issues with shipping. Most of the time, my items ship earlier than the indicated shipping date.

I have also been shopping with Amazon for years and will choose them over most other's due to the reliable delivery. I just spent some time going through the recent orders, as I had gotten lazy about using a price checker site and requested several refunds for price drops and received responses in just moments. The one and only time I had problems with a defective item it was handled swiftly and customer service was incredible. I am a loyal customer. Between FW and vendors like Amazon I really save $$$. Now my only wish is to someday find a deal to post that has not already been found and posted by the veteran members here...LOL!

I agree.I LOVE Amazon, and have done about 95% of my holiday shopping with them this year, mainly because I use Amazon Prime for shipping.I did a trial offer of this in October, and loved it.I am a pure bargain shopper, and spending $79 for a year seems like a lot,but EVERY order has been received in 2 days..LOVE IT!!!And a couple items I ordered, like Rock Band, had price drops since I preordered, and I automatically got the lower price (without me having to call in).I also had a few gifts gift wrapped for .99 when they had a special a few weeks ago.GREAT convenience!

Amazon rocks in my book.

Amazon is great for any buyer. They ship very quickly and have a price guarantee. Most people dont ever get to see the ugly side of being a Pro Merchant though. You get to see people banned and locked out of their accounts, sometimes for silly reasons. Other sellers try to buy your stock with bad credit cards. The tech support is ignorant to anything but how to fill an order. If you are unfortunate enough not to be able to sell certain items...Amazon takes your orders and fulfills them for their own pocketbooks- really quite unethical. Amazon is a great seller of items, but a horrible business in my eyes. I enjoy their toy and game deals but not their business model. They are a 10000 lb gorilla; who can stop them?

Went on quite a shopping spree early Thursday morning for my city's toy drive - I'm the professional shopper of the group
Bought over 150 items and nearly 20 were delivered yesterday (meaning one day service) with the rest to arrive on Monday. As much of a bargain hunter as I am, Amazon Prime is the best money I spend every year. Been using it since it began with no complaints whatsoever. For the few times I needed to deal with a CSR, everything went smoothly. Sorry for those that have had bad experiences with Amazon but I will always turn to them first. Can't beat the convenience of shopping in my PJ's @ 3 AM

I ordered some items off this list at 2PM on Wednesday with Supersaver shipping and got an email that they had shipped about an hour later. They showed up at my house the NEXT DAY! And I don't have prime, I used the free shipping. Maybe in years past they haven't staffed enough people to handle the rush, but this year my stuff has been coming faster than it usually does on non-peak times. And you can't beat some of these prices. Or the fact that I don't have to fight traffic and crowds.

I trust Amazon, about 98%. They have always been good with price adjustments and the 1 defectove item I got. That little 2% of non-trust comes from the toy fisaco last year where they cancelled 6 orders(about 30 toys) I placed, claiming price errors. I only placed 6 orders because items were selling out so quickly. It was a really hard to explain to my kids and some neighborhood kids who did not get their toys.

I have placed 7 orders this december with free super saver shipping. One shipped and I got it in 2 days. the reamining 6 , 2 say shipping soon, 4 they have pushed back the ship date to 12/14. the orders I place were for toys for tots and some neighbors. I made it clear that Amazon is great but , you never know (after the cancelled orders previously). I hoping I get all the items but not 100% counting on it.
