Yes, tazmania99, the in-store price is exactly the same. I just got back from the store but it was very crowded. |

Nice price and lots of interesting hacks available. Can't get into them here, but Google is your friend |

I got shot down trying to use the coupon at best buy. Oh well, still picked one up. BTW, I used to work at the TomTom R&D Office in Berlin, Germany and I can tell you that bluetooth is soon going to be a moot point. Next year, TomTom will unveil a way to get traffic info w/o bluetooth. It will be launching in Europe first, then later in America. Also, I worked on some new features for NavCore 8 (not yet released), and all I can say it will have some VERY MAJOR improvements for those even w/o a traffic subscription! |

I went to the store and confirmed that the in-store price is the same as the web price so no need to order online for in-store pickup. However, I would recommend it -- I went to the store (without ordering first) and they were sold out when I got there. They gave me a hand-written raincheck that I doubt will be accepted once it's back in stock (if it comes in stock after this sale ends). If you do for some reason get a jerk as a cashier who won't accept the coupon for a sale item, just go to the customer service desk later/tomorrow with your receipt and the coupon and say "I bought this item but I forgot to bring this coupon in that you sent me". They will refund your card the difference -- I have done this numerous times before when I would buy something and then receive a batch of 10/12% coupons in the mail a few days later. They don't bat an eye at it, happens all the time. Just need the receipt and the coupon. |

I just bought this thing and am having the same problem some of the best buy reviewers had. When I went to update the maps, it deleted the map from the unit. I am now in the process of redownloading everything. Frustrating. The Tomtom Home 2 software is very buggy and inconsistent. Thinking about exchanging this thing if I can't get it working right soon. |

B-Day coupon worked like a charm on this. Does anyone know if this device qualifies for the tomtom rebate of $100? Thanks OP! |

TTS with the hack has issues, otherwise too, this GPS is not worth the 120 bucks. bad interface, bad graphics, bad POIs. even if you buy it, do not open it till you figure out what you are going to do with it(avoid losing stocking fee at BB). Compare it, go look it perform at BB/Circuit City. |

The new rebate shows bestbuy is a VALID location for the rebate. What I'm wondering is if the model qualifies? http://www.tomtom.com/lib/img/promo/givegive_us_en.pdf What do y'all think? EDIT: I reread the text. Is this big discount that Bestbuy giving considered a Givegive instant saving? |

Of course a $400 garmin will be better, but you're paying a lot more. |

Of course a $400 garmin will be better, but you're paying a lot more. I have two of these set up with TTS. A nice English gent named "Simon" gives nice turn by turn directions. The sound quality is FAR better than the Navigon 2100 I owned as well as a the Nuvi 350 I currently own. I found the interface to be FAR better than the Navigon and not that different from the Garman. I also have had no issues with TTS hack. If you have it is user error. For the current price with or without the coupon this is the best deal going right now in my humble opinion. |

for the Best Buy coupon, when you do instore pickup, I give them my driver's license... are you guys sure they won't check the driver's license birthdate and say hey what's up here?!?!?!?!?!? Maybe I should change it to my brother's name so I can say it is his coupon? But then what do I do about the reward zone account number? |

peterlin said:I tried buying one at $149.99 on Friday, the first day you could use the current 12% reward zone coupon, and I was denied. I tried going to two different cashiers and finally asked for a manager override, but none of them would apply the coupon to the item, since the the item is already discounted from the regular price of $249.99. I ended up buying it anyway, since I found the last one with a white dot. I might go to a different Best Buy and try again today. BTW this is obviously a super hot deal, the 5 best buys near me... only 2 have it in stock and they are both about 40 miles away, lol, fortunately one is only 15 miles out of the way, so after about 3 dollars in gas, this deal is still sweet for me. |

I bought the tomtom le on thanksgiving and returned it one week later. everytime i would turn off the car the unit would lose the satellite signal and would take up to 20 minutes to find it again. The routes it recommended were really odd. It had me taking five to six turns to my sons school when the shortest and fastest route is only two right turns. Not sure if mine was a fluke or if others have problems. Gonna get a garmin once i find a good price. |

One person who actually received the Bday coupon said he received it a few months after his Bday. It is in previous thread discussing the Bday coupon. |
