asclosetofree said: While you are shopping at CVS. Colgate toothpaste is on sale 2/$3. There are coupons in the diabetes book for $1.50 off a tube of Colgate. I already have a whole shelf full of toothpaste, but if someone needs a free AC filler, it might be worth it.Incorrect. The Colgate Total toothpaste advertised for 2/$3 is 4.2 oz. (see the ad). The coupon from the Diabetes book is valid for the 6.0 oz. size of Colgate Total. From the ad, the "selected" 6.4 oz. Colgate toothpaste on sale for 2/$3 doesn't include Colgate Total.
That said, YMMV if you use the coupon. Knowing CVS as well as I do, likely no problem but still a YMMV.

Three packs batteries 5.29x3=15.87 1 Pack of CVS Tissues .99 Total=16.86
Coupons 5 off 15 CVS coupon 2 off 10 CVS coupon 5 off Batteries coupon 1.29 for Free Tissues CVS coupon 1 x 3 peelies from batteries
$16.29 off
Total out of pocket .63 ECB $5
No. X off XX coupons do not stack
The CVS $ off coupons will stack as long as you have at least the same number of items as those type of coupons. Partially correct. Stacking $/$$ CVS coupons depends on your local store/district policy. In the district I shop in, you'd need to meet the minimum for each coupon to be stacked per the district manager policy. For a $25 minimum before coupons, you could use a $2 off $10 and a $5 off $15, for example. In some CVS stores there are no restrictions, others may limit you to one internet printable CVS $/$$ coupon. There is no one national policy.
And don't forget that in some areas you must have at least the number of items as you have coupons. For example: You have 7 coupons, so if I was making that purchase I'd have to also purchase 7 items. My area does not allow more coupons than items. I have been buying one package of batteries and picking up a candy bar or something for about $1 to be able to use the printable $5 coupon & the $1 peelie.
CVS coupon policies (what the cashier allows or what the register allows) vary greatly from one area to another! Best thing is just to know what your store is capable of and run with it!!
IIRC, CVS official policy is to allow 1 manufacturer coupon AND 1 CVS coupon per item. Just get a pack of gum or candy if you have more coupons than this.

You can use a manufacturer coupon and a CVS coupon ON THE SAME ITEM. That is a NATIONAL policy. If you have 7 items, you could use as many as 14 coupons, 7 CVS and 7 manufacturer. Also, ECB's have now been set so you can use as many in one transaction as you want regardless of how many items you have.

I understand that you can only get 1 $5 ECB for buying $15 worth of Energizers per card. But is there any limit to using the $5 off Energizer coupon? By the way, it's not dead because I went to 3 different CVS stores this morning and got the $5 ECB paying $0.29 for the batteries each time. Thanks...

Thanks.
Ditto-- the pdf is no longer showing up in the original link. Anybody have a copy?
CVS just opened in Lawrence, Kansas. In choosing the store location they made a critical, yet unforeseeable error... that being that driving through the store parking lot actually shortens my commute to work.
Thanks for the heads-up on the battery deal OP!

Rechargeable batteries damaged some of my remote controls and one old mp3 player. I think it's the way they drain. Since then, I've beeing using non-rechargeable in my remote controls.

You forgot the CVS cough drops. .99 and generates a .99 ECB. Limit 5 per card for the month of December. That's the best filler of all.

I stacked a 4/20 coupon, 5/15 coupon, 5 off battery coupon, 5 off tylenol coupon (manu facture coupon) 2 dollar off johnson and jonshon coupon (bought something that was only 1.59- overager a couple manu. coupons for batteries, threw in a few other things I needed.. and came out with them owing me 3.30.. so I threw in another pack of batteries at 5.29.. used the dollar off coupon and walked out with three bags of stuff and spent 1.17...

Got 1 pack of batteries for $5.29 - $5 CVS coupon - $1 Energizer coupon (on the pack) = $0 OTD. That's right, I was too lazy to find a filler :-p

The cashier would need the managers key to complete the transaction unless the manufacturer or CVS coupon was modified or manually entered.
Candy bars are on sale 2/$1, Santa lolipops are 99 cents for a string of at least 10.

This is perhaps the most scandalous CVS deal in awhile. I'm surprised there aren't signs by the registers about these 29 cent batteries yet.
Until then, I will buy more.
The one lady in the store today tried to deny my $2 off $10 coupon, but it turns out she didn't scan it right. What was interesting was that she scanned that coupon in last...when the total was like $3.xx or something. I wasn't sure if the order those coupons were rung in counted or not.
This is an awesome deal, even without all the extra stuff. All I'm buying is batteries and at $.31 a pack, I couldn't be happier. I've printed out about 25 coupons, plan on using at least a dozen today.
