Limit 1 per card. On your receipt, you'll be notified if your ECB limit on a certain promotion is reached.

Noted in the flyer for Cleveland, OH:
4 for 12 dollars Coke 12-packs... with $3 ECB! So use the $5 from the batteries, get 4 12-packs for $7 and get $3 ecb back... okay.
What makes this hotter is using the $5 off $15 coupon - get $3 worth of filler for free! PLUS, there are $1.50 off coupons on some of the Coke Zero 12-packs that ALSO stack - meaning that if you like Coke Zero, your math could be:

$12 4 12-packs + $4.xx filler = $16 - $5off15 coupon - $1.50 coupon - $1.50 coupon - $1.50 coupon - $1.50 coupon - $5 ECB from batteries... equals only the 0.xx on your filler plus tax if applicable! AND you'll get $3 ECB printing out! I used mine to snag two bags of Doritos for 49 cents. Great, great math, but you have to like Coke Zero for this to work. I also suspect you HAVE to use the 5off15 before any other coupons. Personally, I got 3 Diet Coke and 1 Coke Zero with slightly less filler, so I ended up paying ~ $4.50 total.

If this goes down right, I may go to another CVS tomorrow and do it all over again with a brand-new CVS card This isn't QUITE as hot as the Kmart deal where you didn't even have to pay anything out of pocket if you got lucky on your first giftcard ring-up, but it's darn close! Free or very-near-free stuff is always great in my book.

Great find! Worked for me.

At some CVS, the batteries have a $1 off for a MAX packs. Some AA packs come with a breast cancer awareness charm or a Cars toy thing.

alert mods

so do you have to have an ECB card registered or can you just sign up in-store?

alert mods

it didn't work for me

1 E AA -8 E91SBP 8 pack

1 cvs coupon 5.00 -

sub 2.99
tax 25
total 3.24
extra care coupon save 4.00 on purchase 20.00 or more

WHAT HAPPENED ?

alert mods

You can always sign-up in-store for a new card. I had to do this last time I went in because I forgot my card and wanted to get ECB back from buying Cokes.

alert mods

Why did it not work....

You purchased an 8pk.

In most areas the AA, AAA 8 pk., C, D 4 pk. or 9 volt 2 pk. are 5.29 with card.

He did not scan his CVS card. Regular price is $7.99 on these without it. Either that or he has a store that's not running the sale for SOME reason?

the card was scanned, maybe it wasn't running the sale! they also said only one coupon per item

It's possible the cashier didn't have the register in the right mode to accept the scan - occasionally I see that happen at the grocery store with our loyalty card, and have to ask the cashier to back out to the "normal scan mode" to scan it, not the coupon menu or the total menu or whatever.

I'm not sure there have been any reports of a store NOT running this, but it IS possible that there's some kind of local anomaly. Is your store in a weird location somehow or does it often have weird/different/delayed promotions?

Re: one coupon per item: this is a common misconception in many cashiers at many stores. Various types of promotions can stack and are supposed to stack - you're just not supposed to be able to get a $5 item with 5 of the same $1 coupon, which is what they're trying to stop when basic cashier training says something about one coupon per item. This becomes an issue in various cases, such as where Target lets you use one manufacturer and one Target coupon per item - this is not well-known. Also was an issue with the Pepsi "rebate coupon" stuff last spring, where the coupon said "off your TOTAL purchase." I had 50 cent coupons and got 20-once bottles for .49, while still using the $ off the total purchase coupon, even though it was far greater than the .49 I was spending on the Pepsi. Those coupons were hell to use, had to involve a manager almost every time I did it at whatever store. Really hoping they don't do that rebate method again this summer, but who am I kidding, I'll do it again.. *cough*

When I was at CVS today, I saw some 8 pks of batteries that had a mini snowglobe in the package.
I think they were not sale priced the same as the others.
There was also a pkg with some kind of game or promotion.
So, maybe you chose one of those pkgs????

I picked the one with the hope charm and the coupon inside says get a free charm bracelet

But his sku/item description/whatever (E AA-8 E91SBP 8 PK) matches what's on my receipts and someone else said the same. Presumably they would have the same UPC if this is the case?

My money is still on the cashier screwing up scanning the card somehow, as all indication seems to be this sale is national.

Oldjunk, do you still have the receipt? Does it say "ExtraCare Card #: *************#### between the line "Reg#xx Tran#xx etc." and the description of your first item?

Print it on a low ink setting. That goes for the $5 off Energizer coupon as well. That coupon scanned fine.

Use FW to get a better printer

Bought 3 packs, used 3 cuopons with $5/each off, worked like a charm.
I figure you have to do it earlier and casually before they find out and catch it, just like Mova Max last week, I only got one Nova Max with $20 ECB after the $29.99 coupon, then I tried to score more in other CVSs, but hothing there, CVS apparently pulled them out of the shelf.

alert mods

Ok, so will this work?

Three packs batteries 5.29x3=15.87
1 Pack of CVS Tissues .99
Total=16.86

Coupons
5 off 15 CVS coupon
2 off 10 CVS coupon
5 off Batteries coupon
1.29 for Free Tissues CVS coupon
1 x 3 peelies from batteries

$16.29 off

Total out of pocket .63
ECB $5

alert mods

I doubt the 4 off 20, 5 off 15, 2 off 10 stack... if they did, that would get to be just a bit ridiculous!

Got 2 AA 8-pk & 1 AAA 8-pk for $0.92 + $5 ECB (one transaction) Hurray!
