Thanks!

I ordered five from TheNerds.net with 5% CashBack from jellyfish.

$133.30 - 5% -$100MIR = $26.64 total = $5.33/gb = HAWT! (EDIT: CORRECTED MATH)

This rebate is reliable and very fast. I've done it twice:
OPT-22, mailed 5/29, rec'vd 7/21
OPT-23, mailed 10/16, rec'vd 11/10

Will this memory work in my Dell Inspiron 530?

Got the rebate in about 4 weeks the last time.

and an extra $5 off $100 with google checkout (from fatwallet page)

Nice thought, but OOS.
EDIT: Above link doesn't work which is why it shows OOS. Do a search for PN PX976AT and it shows them in stock (at the nerds)
Doing the search for PN shows 2128 in stock. Is the MIR valid when purchased from there? If so, might go ahead and order 4 to get the free s/h...otherwise it's cheaper to just order 2 (all I really need) from ANTOnline.com...

Just got 4 of them from TheNerds.net....yes, w/ a Free shipping !!!

Availability: 2128 In Stock

If HP doesn't screw up the MIR, it should be $6.66/each 1Gb stick.

$133.30 - 5% -$100MIR = $22.64 total = $4.53/gb = HAWT!

This rebate is reliable and very fast. I've done it twice:
OPT-22, mailed 5/29, rec'vd 7/21
OPT-23, mailed 10/16, rec'vd 11/10

Corrected arithmitic:

$133.30 x .95 = 126.63 - 100MIR = 26.63 total = $5.33/gb Still a buy...all day long!!!

basically the cost dropped $20 and the rebate (per unit) dropped $20 so its the same deal as before roughly. tons and tons in stock.

these are the exact same rebate checks that the resellers get; 100% reliable if you can follow basic steps.

might want to order them before the 14th

The rebate for TheNerds.net is questionable. Have anyone got rebates before on this memory form TheNerds?

TheNerds has nothing to do with the rebate. Insofar as TheNerds is an HP partner/reseller, the rebate is good.

Thanks, OP.
Didn't hear about this program the first go-round, but ordered 2 sticks for the wife's Dell - this'll bring her up to 4GB. Vista should be happy about that! :-D

HP rebate center may refuse your rebate using the excuse of "participating reseller only"

Just note that unless you're running 64bit Vista, the PC will only access 3.5GB or less of the memory. Not that it will matter much, just a FYI.

I'm in for 4

Does anyone here know if this will work on the Dell server deal (PowerEdge SC1430) a few months ago?

thanks,
Speedy

It most definitely WILL NOT.

That machine requires FB-DIMMs.

Got 4 from the Nerds. Hoping the rebate will go through. thanks, OP

I have yet to find a list from HP of participating resellers. The only stipulation that the rebate form states is "authorized HP reseller" of which TheNerds.net is. People on other forums have even stated that the rebate house took the Google checkout receipt which could be questionable on it's own. Of course, YMMV but I think that this should fly with no problem.

The computer nerds and the nerds are not the same.
if you go to the HP partnership site and click on the link for computer nerds
you will get page not found. type in miami fl and computer nerds

also address is different than the one for the nerds.

also interesting to note that pc unniverse is also owned by the same people
that owns patriotpc
filing

big difference in price between the two website (if I got the memory correct)

patriotpc.us
pc universe

Saying all of that the price looks good even without the rebate![/L]

How do you know if its the good Micron ram? Thanks!

Virbla said:$6 after $20 rebate, Free shipping. Here it is. If rebates fly

I would avoid kahlon as they seem to indicate that they can substitute "equivalent" sticks instead of the ones listed on the HP rebate. YMMV on what you actually receive from them.
