I'm pretty much a newbie at overclocking, but I understand that some memory can be overclocked just like cpu's. Has anyone tried overclocking this? |

People at AT have spoken of getting to to DDR2-800 speeds at around 2.0V. I've seen posts of 375MHz (750 at double rate vs the standard 667) at the stock 1.8V. Not sure how high it can go, but it can definitely go higher (per others) than the rated 667. |

Yes, pretty much any CL5 DDR2-667 RAM will easily go to DDR2-800 CL5 @ ~2V. That's why manufacturers were selling what were pretty much pre-overclocked sticks (that's the DDR2-800 stuff you find that needs 2-2.1V to run CL5). |

SerpentRoyal on AT posted that he/she ordered from TheNerds.net on the last offer and had no issues with the rebate. FYI! |

I didn't jump into the HP deal last time coz the rebate amount $40 for each rebate was too large. This time the rebate amount $20 is more modest. In 4 five from the nerds. Thanks. |

I ordered from TheNerds.net with google checkout. For rebate submission, do I use google receipt or TheNerds order confirmation? Thanks. |

Alright, I just bought 4 gigs of ram. I guess I need to buy something to go with it now. Any processor and motherboard deals out there? |

I went w/ 5 from TheNerds. Awesome! I missed it the last couple rounds but I'm in on this one. Time to hunt down a good cpu and motherboard to go with this (I needed the whole setup anyway, cheap memory is icing on the cake ). |

I'm running this HP/Micron D9HL memory at DDR2-800 speeds @ the stock 1.8V on a cheap ECS Geforce6100SM-M motherboard. |

Thanks OP....bought 10 (different addresses). Got 10 during the last deal last Sept. and Jul. when Techonweb and PCsuperstore had them for $14 each after MIR. The auction will be flooded with them and prices will collapse ...so don't bother there. Did much better at the flea market for about $26 each. |
