Walgreens Jan Easysaver 100 sheets cube box or 200 long box tissue $1.69 x 5= $8.45 get $10 Easysaver rebate for 5 box purchase. You make $1.55 and get free tissue. This would also work with large 100 bag of walgreens cough drops, they are $1.99, wouldn't make money but free drops.
This was posted on SD a while back, there are actually a few items you can make money on. The other ones are the hand sanitizers and the Walgreens generic ibuprofen.
daddyweiss said: the rebate is "up to $10"; you get back what you paid; no profit.
It says Up to $10 because there is a $5 offer and $10 offer. it is $5 up to $10. the rebate states $10 for 5 items and $5 for 3 items, meaning you can get up to 10 by completing offer you choose.

Yes I saw the other items, but I bought and mentioned tissues and drops I bought 1 wal-flu, 3 tissues, 1 cough drops. I didn't make no profit because I needed the wal-tussin too.. I've got a cold from southern crazy weather
I got the deal for the tissues but the price was $1.79 each, so just made a few pennies after tax. My wife got the hand disinfectant which was on sale for 2/$3, or $1.99 each. First one rang up as $1.99, second as $1.01 and the rest at $1.50 each?

This ends up being a better deal, netting a $2.50 profit AR (taxes and such notwithstanding).

erm..i went to walgreens and tissues were $1.99/box..regular price. Its not discounted at all
This is the same rebate as the hand sanitizer, which was better than FAR last week. You cannot do both (although you can mix and match to get the 5 items.

The Walgreens tissue is on sale 2/$3 Jan 13 thru Jan 19. It's on page 18 of the weekly ad.
The hand sanitizers are also in the ad. The shelf tags on the sanatizers say they are 1/$1.99 and 2/$3 through 1/26. When Walgreens has these types of sales, they usually charge half the "2-for" price for each additional item after the first two, so you don't have to buy an even number after the first two.

Can you enlighten me to the free ibuprofen? My back is killing me!

Bought 5 boxes at $1.50/ea and 3 packs of Orbit gum (my favorite!). The rebate on my gum will only be $1, but I will make enough off the tissues to pay for it! Thanks OP! I'll have to check out the bag of cough drops, sanitizer and ibuprofen this week too! Thanks walletfart.

My fifth box of tissues ran up $1.50. Good deal! $7.50 for a $10 rebate.

Thanks OP!
You don't make money. You get your money back "up" to $10. Why are people still saying this? As was posted earlier in the thread, the offer states that there is a $10 rebate if one buys five items. So if one buys five items totaling $7.50, one will indeed make $2.50 after rebate. The “up to” wording only differentiates from the offer of getting a $5 rebate if one buys only three items. Why is this hard for some to grasp?

Anyone ever printed the online form and submitted that? I have not needed to do that so far because my store always has the booklet, but I wonder if that would work.

Got my 5 boxes of tissue last night for $7.88 after tax.
Great find, OP.
This was my first Walgreens ESavR deal (and definitely not the last...)

This probably is a very stupid question. But how do I submit the rebate? I mean I got the Easysaver booklet already. But I only see a page descibe this offer without any forms next to it. So what should I submit(receipt, upc, etc)? Or there should be a form print out at counter? (which in my case, it didn't) this is the first time I am trying to do this. Sorry about such question Thanks a lot.
Look into the center pages of the book. All the rebates has to be filled in that and write your addess and send it to Walgreens Easy Saver Caltalor XXX 2008 address. If you need 10% more check Walgreens Gift card.
Prncsnyc said: does anyone know of any current deals for this week with regards to the pricing? IIRC, the shelf tag showed the 2/$3 price was good through the end of the month for the hand sanitizers.
and the good thing about the hand sanitizers Walgreens offers is that they have at least a couple different versions or "flavors" which use an anti-bacterial active ingredient which doesn't contribute to the growing problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
The ones to look for have "ethyl alcohol" as the active ingredient. Don't ever buy the type with the active ingredient word that begins with a "T". I forget the full name of it, but it's the most common active ingredient found in "anti-bacterial" cleaners, but it's also the worst one to get in terms of contributing to the bacterial resistance problems we are facing in medicine today. Only get the soaps and hand sanitizers which use ethyl alcohol.

In the middle of the booklet, there's actualy a "tally sheet" (which consits of several pages of tables, and a place to fill in name/address/email). Undo the Staples in the middle, and remove these two pages. Fill out the forms (put the quanity/amount next to each rebate you are expecting to receive)& include the ORIGINAL receipts, and circle the rebated items on the receipt, and write the corresponding rebate offer # (i.e., if it's the tissues: '#13') next to each line item you are applying for a rebate. Mail the completed forms and the receipts in one envelope to the address on the form, in El Paso, TX.
