Quicken 2008 Deluxe for $44.99 at Amazon - add TurboTax Basic for $18.99 and get a $45 instant rebate from Amazon. Total price of $18.98 plus free shipping & no sales tax for Quicken 08 Deluxe. Pretty good for all those Quicken 2005 users who just got their notice that Intuit is cutting off the account download feature!
Yes, this is similar this deal: http://www.fatwallet.com/t/18/800788 - however it doesn't reference that the $45 rebate also works on the cheapest version of TurboTax. Some folks will want the more full featured version of TT - I don't really need either, I just needed Quicken and this was a pretty good (easy!) deal.
Quicken seems to be out of stock at the moment but will ship when back in stock.
i dont understand why you need to buy hardcopy if you have to pay when e-file anyway..... or is it not? I've always filed online before and I need at least the deluxe coz i got deductions, but i'm getting the basic just for the Quicken.

Thanks OP, seems a great deal on Quicken Deluxe. Figured I'd have to upgrade sooner or later. Too bad I had to buy the TT basic (purchased the TT delux a while ago). Still great deal.

Thanks OP!
Was waiting for this to come around again. Grabbed TT Deluxe with State and Quicken Deluxe for $39.98 - $30 (Quicken Basic upgrade rebate) = $9.98.
I knew that free copy of Quicken Basic would come in handy someday. For those interested in the upgrade rebate (and don't want to read through the other thread), it's here.
Is this dead or am I doing something wrong. I used the link above, added Quicken to my cart, added TurboTax Basic to my cart. I go to my cart and the discount isn't reflected... Am I missing something?

From what I see, Amazon.com is OOS of Quicken Deluxe. It's only the affiliate sellers that have it in stock now. That's probably why you don't see the rebate, as the software has to be purchased from Amazon itself.

Make sure to select both as shipping from Amazon, not another vendor.
The discount still works, but instead of the total for Quicken and TT Deluxe Fed and State being a slick $40, it is $47.98. Just missed this great deal!!
so tell me why anyone want to buy 40 bux of TurboTax deluxe in a CDROM when you can just use it for free online and only pay when you efile? to me this is just a discounted Quicken deluxe deal, but it has to be with the TurboTax basic, which i probably gonna give away or sell to someone else.
It's out of stock and the price is back to $52.99 instead of $44.99

Quicken Deluxe is OOS from Amazon and therefore the $45 instant rebate is not working.

Thanks to all Got Quicken Deluxe and TuboTax Basic with free shipping and no tax for $26.98. Still better than buying Quicken Deluxe 2008 alone which I am now required to do by April 30, 2008. If I understand this thread correctly I can also apply for a rebate from Quicken.

I can't get the combo to $39.99.
My cart shows total of $47.98 after $45 combined saving for Quicken Deluxe and TT Deluxe.
yesterday's Quicken price was $44.99, which is what OP was referring. when I ordered it shows "out of stock will ship as it becomes available" but it was still sold by amadong. but even for the TurboTax it has not shipped yet, which is rare, usually amadong ships within 12 hours of my ordering.

My TurboTax shipped this morning (Amazon Prime) but Quicken still hasn't shipped. I'm glad to see that so many folks got in on this deal! Amazon seems to keep making Quicken available to order and then unavailable - and at different prices - hence the varying nature of the deal that some other folks have posted about.

Intuit has an unconditional 60-day money back guarantee. Just mentioning it in case you want to use it, and then get in on this deal. Here is the direct link for TurboTax return policy information. Here's the link for the complete Intuit return policy.
Hope it helps.

friendlyguy said: shows me for $93 .. no instant discounts.Yeah, the $45 instant savings seems to be gone AND the price is back up to $52.99. Deal dead, for now.
taser1 said: My $30 Quicken Deluxe with the purchase of Turbo Tax Deluxe Rebate was denied with the reason that Amazon is not a participating dealer. Anyone out there in the same boat? They say if the rebate was not listed on Amazon, Amazon is not a participating dealer. Seem like they are getting picky.
Same thing here! I'm POed and will be looking in to it further. I don't remember anything to make me suspect this would not be honored.
