prohibited by law ???Which law are you talking about?

I believe the law is and correct me if I'm wrong, you can't sell stamps less then face value. It prevents businesses from using stamps as an advertising tool.---- the bottomfeeder

Now my only question would be what IS the face value of a stamp with no price printed on it? Seems like a nice loophole to me!

Good question Well I bought one set for $8.20 so I guess it is priced at 41c/stamp

Just got back from Walgreens. Used the coupon and paid $19 from my GC on FAR stuff I might actually use. Expecting ~$25 back in rebates (on the GC of course).

Great coupon, OP.

don't believe such a law exists. Costco has sold postage stamps at a (slight) discount from the face value for years.

I got 3 axe essence shower gels at 1.29 each with free movie ticket that prints at register. (THANKS TO WHOEVER POSTED THAT DEAL!!) Also set of two Yorkshire Terrier mugs for 1.29 and a B1G1 Almonds for 3.29. Elisibeth Ardens Provoctive Woman perfume for 3.29 although marked on sale for $6. I think it was more that 75% off. 3 Halmark sound cards for $10. (they are B2G1)

After my $5 off $20 coupon all for 17.92 with tax. Plus the free movie ticket.

Maybe the other perfumes are cheaper than they are marked too. It is alway worth a try!

The cashier took the 5$ off at the end of the transaction, but it was the first coupon she scanned...lucky for me

Thanks to thriftyuser who posted about this in another thread. I didn't spend much time researching what to buy, so I just tried getting the stamps after reading about the stamp deal on SD.

I got there just before midnight and the cashier was in the stockroom getting an 50-roll pack of TP for another customer. By the time she finished checking out, I figured it might be too late to use the coupon. I asked and the cashier told me it was 11:54 (his clock was wrong). I got $26.40 worth of postage for $19.19, and my receipt said February 1, 12:05 a.m. Wish I'd known about the stamps when they had the $10 off $30 coupon in December--would have been even better.

I used the Maruchan ramen as a filler item in December. It was 29 cents.

I spent an hour or so preparing to use this coupon and just getting close to the $20 worth of stuff. I had about 10 manuf. coupons and 3 Walgreens coupons. After the cashier rang up the stuff, she showed me a letter from "Corporate" that said the $5 could only be taken off AFTER the rest of the discounts and coupons were added in.... I had spent an hour and a half fighting a toddler down the aisles and stood in line and when she gave me that baloney, I just left my stuff on the counter and told her that Walgreens had lost my business.... They are getting paid from the coupon companies to take the coupons... CVS here I come !

I had a rather good experience using this yesterday. As one of my purchases to get over the $20 hump, I got the Gillette fusion razor that came with a $6 register reward so with my $2 coupon would have only really cost me $2 but would go $10 toward the $20. When I checked out, everything went fine but the Catalina didn't print out. I asked the clerk and we found that the Gillette razor needed to be a "Phenom", not a "Phantom" (sheesh, can they complicate it any more?) so I went back and they didn't carry the right one. So I had her refund the razor (which took a manager) and the manager refunded the razor without messing with the coupons, so I got to use the $5 off coupon even though I only bought $11 worth of stuff!

I went at lunch yesterday and had no problems - the store manager even rang up my purchases. Bought about $13 of FAR stuff and had some coupons for the FAR "RX Essentials up to $15.99) so that brought me to well over $20, had a $5 off coupon for the RX Essentials (plus my MIR). Also bought some Kelloggs H2O Protein water on clearance for $1. After all the rebates and coupons, they paid me $2.00 to take the stuff. I was kind of worried about the MIR's - one reciept going to two different places but, the manager told me that WISCONSIN can now enter the rebates online using the reciept code at the top. Did that when I got back from lunch with no hassles and mailed the other rebate today.

Made my 2nd trip to WAG last night to use the coupon. No problem finding $20 worth of items for me! As I was checking out my fav cashier said "when I saw you walk through the door, I figured you'd be using this coupon" (the $5/20), he said about 6 people used it only.

Ok, so I got Feel & Learn's for 8.99 less $2 mfg, Kandoo wipes 3.99 less FREE WYB Feel & Learn's mfg coupon, Tombstone Pizza 4/$9., Blue Diamond ALmonds 3.29 x 2 - b1g1F - .75 mfg, Revlon 3.29 x 2 - $3 x 2 IVC - $2 x 2 mfg - b1g150% sale = OVERAGE, clearance root beer barrells .69, clearance DVD discs .74 x 2, and I think that was it. Fun trip!
