This is my first time using the 30% off code, but is is standard Kohl's practice to jack up prices before the coupon code becomes active? I had my eyes set on a pair of Skechers Troy oxford shoes, and they were 39.99 until today, where it's now 44.99!

Yeah, they did jack up the price. I had actually added the shoes that I wanted in the shopping cart last week and had saved my cart. The price still went up! Great deal for the pair of shoes I wanted though. Thanks op!

Just an FYI, I think some things are going quick at Kohls with this sale. I've already noticed a number of items no long available. Hats, shirts, shoes etc. there are a lot of sizes, colors, styles etc no longer available. I assume sold out. This is my first online 30% sale as a card holder. I'm hoping they restock before it ends but that seems doubtful. But early or miss out I guess. mez

Obviously they price things assuming you'll get at least the 15% sale discount. Typically the pre-discount price is not as good as a normal sale that doesn't rely on the extra percent off for the final price.
In your case case, 30% off of $45 is still cheaper than what you could have gotten it for previously, which presumably would have been 15% off.
This link is to sign up for their newsletter. What is does is send a free shipping code immediately that is good for a week. When you get the code, unsubscribe from the list. Next time you need a free shipping code ~ rinse and repeat.

The trick is figuring out how to get the deals in store! That's where a lot of the left over deals are. If you don't get a 30% off card in the mail, then you have to go in and claim you never received it or threw it away. Then they give you a scratcher card at checkout. You could end up with 15% , 20%, or 30% off. But without x-ray vision, it's a crap shoot unfortunately.
Thanks for posting the 30% code, I got the 20% code on my catalog (again). They had some great buys in the clearance section and some good buys on sale - then 30% off and free shipping makes for a really nice order .

Too bad Kohls seems to be no longer carrying the Seiko Coutura watch described in this FW thread. 30% off that was a pretty hot deal at the time.

Actually the watch the OP initially referred to in the post I linked is the BLACK version of the watch, which is no longer availble at Kohls. Later in the post, the silver version is discussed, and you're correct about that one still being available at Kohls. But that's not the one I want! And it does cost more than the silver one, even with the 30% discount.
Thanks op and everyone that added free ship codes I got my order in last night using both codes. But, I could not use fw or mypoints to checkout. I tried for 2 days and continued to get an error message every time I tried to check out. Finally last night I just pulled them up alone and got no error messages and could completely check out. That's never happened before, and I sure hope it doesn't happen again.

You didn't get your FatCash? Neither did I. Had the same problems you did. Actually for the longest time I even had problems adding more than one item to my bag. Their website obviously has some issues. And it's not like I was buying during the first few hours of the sale. Days later and late PST is when I was shopping. Still happy about the 30% and free shipping. I know people say they up their prices, and maybe they do, but the shoes I bought are the lowest I've ever paid for that same pair, the watch was $15 less than anywhere on the net and the shirts went down to mid teens. An excellent sale I'd say. mez
I had trouble placing an order on one PC for some reason (going through FC to K0hl's) but had no trouble on a different PC. Or if could have been whatever problem I had was fixed by the time I got around to using the other PC? Anyway, the coupons worked fine and the FC pending has already appeared.
K0hl's does have silly high normal prices, but the sales AND the 30% off makes for some real bargains.
We went to the BM store to pick up some stuff using our coupon and we were the only ones in line using a K0hl's card. All those other folks were buying stuff wither other cards and leaving 15%, 20%, or 30% on the table. Amazing.
