this is a good deal. I picked one of these FAR last time from frys. Threw it in my server since there is no noise, and I dont need it for any 3d stuff.
I would pick up another one, but I'm too cheap to pay for shipping
While it may not matter to everyone, the OP's link appears to go to a solid core capacitor card. if you live in an area with frequent power surges or low voltage conditions, like I do in South Florida I can personally attest to the reliability of this card to hold up pretty well in my general use rig.

thanks OP. i know what you mean. their rebate is that good and fast. picked one up.. again. to stack, in SLI config ofcourse, on top of the one from last round sitting in the attic.
I saw this in today's paper and picked one up at the SW Houston Fry's. They had plenty in stock at 11:00 AM. A $5.00 PriceGrabber bonus rebate will cover your tax or help out on shipping.

How do you get the PriceGrabber rebate? Just write a review or what?
Is it too much trouble to read the instructions on the website?
The link just does to a page of reviews on the card. I don't see anything about any rebates.

Just ordered one. I figure it'll be good either a gift, for testing/backup purposes, or for a "server"/"basic" type of PC that you're not using for heavy 3D graphical / special video effects purposes.
It's also not bad since I can't likely use my old AGP cards in any new PCs even the basic use ones, so it's good to have a cheap basic video card available that will continue to be useful for the next few years.

Can you elaborate?
I can confirm the other way around. I have a DVR that has a HDMI out which I hooked to a LCD monitor with DVI in. Often times it won't show the video.

I am building a new computer. The computer will mainly be used to photo editing (photoshop and lightroom). The only game being played on it will be SIMS 2; will this card do the trick?

I picked this up about a month ago, picked up at a local frys. EVGA Rebate has already come through! Just make sure to pre register using the offer# at www.rebateshq.com
Also you can double your warranty by registering the card at EVGA site.
EDIT: the new rebate has a different program ID than the other one but it says LIMIT ONE per product so I don't think those who got in on the original offer can still order this again? Too risky for this item and $50 otherwise I would have got a 2nd. one.
