Print a free shipping label. Buy an HP product. Pack up your old stuff. Call Fedex to pick up your stuff (shipping prepaid). Fax a proof of purchase for your new HP product. A few weeks later, you get a check for fair market value of the old stuff, effectively reducing the price of your new monitor. No hassles.
I got this monitor when it first came out. Be advised that just like the Sammy 226bw this model has many panel makers (Samsung, LG, Immolux as well as others). We found how to determine what panel the box contained without having to open the box at the store. Don't know if anything has changed as I have not followed the thread for awhile. Used to be one had to look at the Revision code to ascertain the panel. You will have to read the thread to determine what the Revision's are as the original database got corrupted and a lot of our posts were lost.
Secret panel info:
1. Turn off your monitor. 2. Press and hold the 'menu' button. 3. Turn the monitor back on. 4. Release the menu button. 5. Press the menu button again. 6. A "Service..." option will appear. 7. Select it and it will display the Panel's model number at the bottom.
Good deals. However, LCD monitors seem to last forever. My 6-year old 17 inch still works like new, and I already have two spare ones lie in the basement.
Seems to be $10 cheaper going through the FatWallet links.
Go to the FatWallet TigerDirect.com page and click on the monitor under specials and it shows up at 239.99 for me (Instant Savings is then 110 instead of 100).
I'm on the fence right now...it would fit so well with my HP m9100z Phenom tower from OD a few days ago and I love glossy.
What to do...

I'm guessing that the W2207 is being replaced by the 2207H hence the lower price. If this is the case then maybe other suppliers will be reducing the price also if they have inventory or ability to get them from HP till supplies run out. I've noticed $20 off here or there in the last few days but not this much of a price drop. I've been looking at the price of this monitor off and on for several months as we use them in our office where the greyscale performance is much admired
If it is not being replaced then this is a fairly good price. Great monitor by the way and impressive stand
Depends on whether you want a NEW monitor with a full manufacturer's warranty at a lower price OR A USED and/or refurbished one at a higher price with higher shipping charges and no warranty or whatever's remaining from the original owner's warranty.
This deal has been available all weekend. No one else put made note so thought I would today. Now, this afternoon, Fatwallet apparently brokers an extra $10 off using a link to the HP w2207 deal through the FW CashBack & Coupons section for CompUSA or TigerDirect.
TigerDirect & CompUSA are now the same entity. The price drop may indicate they are getting low on stock or it's not selling as well as they thought it would. Either way, the deal just got $10 better.
I'll update the price in heading and amend the original post.

This is a preMO panel (grade A) and high quality monitor from a good company. I don't recall or anyone having dead pixels .. Not preaching for TD/CompUSA here, just the monitor.

Nice price for a very nice monitor, but $31.68 for standard ground on a 24lb box to SoCal is a joke, especially when I just paid $2.95 for shipping @overstock for 2.1 computer speakers they weigh 26lb packaged. Better yet paid $22.00 for a 63lb fake Christmas tree @ Sears couple months back on a blow-out deal.
Re: eBillme Link to the eBillme rebate is in the original post. eBillme is listed with an icon on the bottom every TigerDirect page. Click the icon and all information is there. As mentioned previously all you do is pay with you bank's BillPay account, then file the rebate form and hope for the best (like every MIR).

Very good monitor IMO. I wanted the Immolux panel and that is what I got.
Good price OP!
YIKES! That thread is over 40 pages long!
Mine, which was an early release, is an LG (third one down - but starts with GTMV1.4) Without reading 40+ pages, do I have a good one or a junk one??? One things for sure, dang I have put a lot of hours on this monitor!!!!!!!!!
FWIW I have been very, very pleased with this monitor. My only issue is a slight purple haze around very small text when using the DVI input (my normal setup). Ironically when I use a second computer via the analog input, I don't have this. I used to run a Mac as a second computer using the same monitor, and the analog video was outstanding.

But the eBillme is simply NOT in the "Pay Methods" list. Maybe I am too new to this.

When does the FW $10 off show up? I show it as $249 still when I put it in the cart. Thanks

I originally had that exact panel and to tell you the truth, I cannot notice ANY difference between the LG and the Innolux panels. If you are satisfied with your monitor then do not worry about it.
All are good glass manufacturers with Innolux, if memory serves, a Taiwanese company that has been in the panel business for awhile. They are trying to enhance their market share in this segment. A lot of Asian users prefered this brand name. Of course, Samsung and LG are 2 of the largest panel makers in the world.
My Innolux has no bad pixels, ghosting and very little backlight bleeding but very hard to notice (typical of a TN panel).

exactly. and I'm sure that these panels are all so close and the differences people are seeing between these panels is the result of non-calibrated monitors out of the box. Some will have better calibration out of the box, but ultimately when you calibrate these they should all be pretty much the same.
