Where did you find this? On the http://www.speedway.com/SpeedyRewards/EarnPoints web site they only have Speedy Cash (GOLD)$50 Gift Card
1000 Points (all States), there's no mention of $0.03 off.

I have gone into the Speedway Gas Station store and you need to purchase the Speedway "FUEL" Gift Card, the card is in "DARK BLUE". Then go to the pump, slide your Speedway rewards card, The FUEL Blue Card and your discount will automatically come $0.03 off per gallon at the pump. Do this BEFORE you pump your gas =)

Why not just get Shell mc w/5% Cash Back - about the same + it's a better gas

Why even bother with Shell, just get the Penfed Visa or AMEX SimplyCash credit card and get 5%. 3 cents per gallon is a super lame deal.

Thanks for posting about the $0.03 discount.

You posted correctly that you can either get 1000 points with a regular gift card or $0.03 with the fuel card. Has anyone tried buying a $50 cash card for the 1000 points and using that card to buy the fuel card for the $0.03?

By the way, in Dayton OH some Marathon gas stations will give a $2 bonus if you buy a $50 gift card. So, pay $50 and get $52.This is usually better than the Speedway points system. Like getting the gas 4% off, plus my credit card still kicks in the gas purchase rebate.

Thanks

Sorry forgot to mention - have - but still use shell - better gas: Shell / BP / Mobil

I use my discover gas card. 5% back. Thats 5 cents per $1 of gas. So if gas is $3.00/gal. Then 15cents back per gallon . I see these "$0.xx off per gallon" ads all the time. What a joke. 3cents, 5 cents per gallon, bah........ not worth my time. Plus 5% back on other auto purchases. You know, things like oil changes, parts, and so on. The only card that I actually bother with the rewards on.

Except the discover driver's edge only gives 5% back on the first $100 of car-related spending each month - which with gas prices where they are now, is a little over 2 tanks.

Oh that sucks. I didn't know that. I put in roughly ~$35 or so each week in gas. I fill up at the meijer gas station in town.

Get a Meijers MasterCard, and get 5-cents/gallon off everytime you buy gas at Meijer with it.

I put in around 10~11 gal when I fill-up. So I would save roughly 50cents at a fill-up with the meijer cc. Not really enough that I would want to get another cc for. $100 discover limit will get me almost 3 fill-ups per month anyways. Sometimes I don't use the meijer station. Just depends where I'm at when I feel like filling up. Also depends if theres a line at the pump or not. I don't wait in lines just to save a few cents, I'll just go elsewhere instead.

The 14 Mile and Haggerty Speedway in Novi, MI offers 1000 Speedway Points with a $50.00 on the BLUE FUEL PREPAID CARD + Additional points for pumping gas, Plus you get the $0.03 off per gallon pumped when you use your Speedy rewards card at the pump along with your BLUE FUEL CARD. Other stations I encountered give you one or the other on the promotion. Plus you get $25 Gift card when you receive 17,500 points so the total savings is appoxiately $50.00 with the combined $0.03 off per gallon.

My local Speedway in Indiana has 5 cents off with the card...another one only has 3 cents off so it must vary by owner. I go to the 5 cents off....every penny off helps!

Also, if you forget to swipe your card and pay inside they can take the discount off inside. I have done that before

I think I saved 3 cents each time I accelerated the car ... gently.
