So how does one "undo" the chip mod if you use the defogger method? |

Yay! Apparently the Arctic Cooling 7 will fit with some basic mods! FrankNThomas said: I have put it in my 530 case. I had to remove the clips that come with the Freezer since the Dell comes with a threaded connector already on the motherboard. I instead used the spring screws from a Thermalright bolt through kit (~$7 at some online stores) and the screws fit without any problem. Also feel better about not having to worry it will "pop off".

There are KVM switch with USB ports. I have used them before. But then, now I'm using all Remote Deskto Connection. Much better than switching between KVM. If you still have IDE harddrives, you should probably get rid of them. For DVD burner, SATA burners are about $30. |

Good news for everybody who ordered this and tried to stack the AAA coupon. I called Dell using the EPP phone number listed earlier and insisted that the AAA coupon and the EPP coupon should be stackable. I really didn't expect them to go for it but I kept insisting that they should be stackable. So after one phone call where they put me back and forth on hold for about 20 minutes they said that they would get back to me. The CSR from India then proceeded to call me every day for the last week and each time he would tell me that I can not stack the coupons and each time I would reply that the coupons should be stackable. Well, I received the new system yesterday and this afternoon I got yet another call from the same CSR. He said after following through that they were going to credit my account the 6 % for the AAA coupon. That means my deal ended up costing me $829 (I took the card reader for the extra $20) - $310 instant discount - $51.90 EPP discount - $28.03 AAA discount - $18.68 DPA 4% discount - $17.94 ( Dell Members save 4% for 3/4 year in home service discount) = $402.45 + free shipping. Now that's a smokin hot deal for a Quad core machine. I urge all you other Fat Wallet members who tried to stack the AAA coupon to make the call and insist that the coupon is stackable. What have you got to loose? |

My KVMs are all ps2, I don't want to go out and spend any more monies on KVMs, 3 is enough besides the compaq KVM is over $300 bucks. Don't want to spend more monies on them I have 3 KVMs don't want to buy anymore one 2 port one 4 port one 8 port...expensive oh did u get the picture? I DON'T WANT TO BUY ANY MORE KVMs? I want make the ps2 KVMs work with the Dell 530 ie usb connections there are converters out there that work..but which ones? I want a Dell puter with ps2 keyboard and ps2 mouse because I can install dells win xp pro or win vista using the normal Dell re installation cd. ie OEM OS
I already bought one Dell 530 one is enough i bought a Gateway with ps2 connectors i can live without IDEs but why get rid of them? not too smart. i just put them in usb external boxes and BOOM, they work in the 530. have plenty of external boxes tia |

i've got one of those cutesy belkin pastel colored usb times two and 1 speaker with remote tap-switch deals. it's not bad for being so cheap. it's basically like unplugging your usb key/mouse when you tap it and switching it to the other system. the audio is standard stereo phono. since its doing the unplug/re-plug instead of a virtual device it does hang up now and then. |

" I just called.. they won't honor the 6% AAA code" They will tell you that they won't honor it but just keep insisting that they do. Tell them that it's stackable and stackable means that you should be able to use them together. Every time they called me they would say that they will not honor both but I would say sternly but in a nice way "the coupons are stackable and should be allowed to be used together." They kept saying that they would look into it further and finally called me back to tell me they we going to apply the credit to my account. |
