Picked up the 720P MAGNAVOX 32MF337B from my local WalMart in Norwalk CT for $399.00, plus 6% tax. There were 4 there yesterday during my lunch break, came back to the office, checked the prices/reviews online to make sure i wasnt going nuts- went back and there was only one left- which I VERY happily picked up. Major YMMV on this one but if you find it congrats, its a GREAT deal.
FYI: the TV only comes with a 90 labor 1 year parts warranty, but WalMart offers a 2 year extension for only $28.88, i suggest to anyone you get the extra coverage for under $30, brings the total cost to just over $450 with warranty, just under $425 without.

I have never seen a 32" LCD HDTV of any type of name brand quality for under $450- until now! Total cost after tax= $422.94

I'd put them in with Vizio, Olevia's, etc. Pretty middle of the road at most.

Magnavox is manufactured by Philips. While quality, performance and features are comparable, it is a step up from the likes of Vizio and Olevia from a service and support perspective.

Definately dont agree with that comment- Phillips-Magnovox has been around for years and has generally always been good quality. While not in the upper echelon like Sony, PANASONIC, or LG. I would say it is the brand right after them. Id easily take it over a similiar VIZIO and definately over OLEVIA. Definately a brand name.
Also even the extreme low quality brands like ILO (who?) lol, Ive never seen this low. Cheapest I ever found was $450 for a low level on sale refurb. So Id say its a great deal.

It did not say in-store special, just went to the electronics section looking for GTA 4, for PS3, and saw the rollback sticker for 399.00, gives me the feeling it was a clearance item. Just FYI- WalMart also offered an additional 2-year protection plan on it for only $28.80! I usually dont go for the pplans on top- but for under $30 seemed worth it since the set only comes with 90 day (!) labor warranty & 1 year parts.
Thanks OP! Most people here are after bigger screens but this is perfect for my needs. And to think my ex-coworker paid over +3k for something like this a few years ago... sweet! I told him I would not buy one until it's $400.

Toshiba? there is a point in evaluating these where you cross a gap in picture quality, and it's a sizeable gap (contrast ratio, color, etc), and Magnavox is definitely on the lower side of this gap. Also even the extreme low quality brands like ILO (who?) lol, Ive never seen this low. I just disagreed (and still do) classifying this as a name brand. definitely in the lower half. The Magnavox may be in the upper half of the budget brands, it still is a budget brand in this market. again, still a good price.

Don't know where your getting that info from - as far as im concerned and the many reviews of Phillips-Magnavox, id take it over any comparable Samsung, Sharp, Pioneer, and Toshiba TV. But hey, we all have our preferences.
This is a great set. This was for sale for 300 the other month at target. I was able to get one then and it is awesome. Also where I'm at we get about 15HD channels over the air which is really cool. This would be a good deal. Also I don't how WalMart's warranty works but targets was only 30 for 3years full. I got mine for 402 w/ warranty and tax in FL
