evga rebate are good as gold. i'm about 10 for 10. average wait time but never missed a beat.

good card for that old pos boxen. but the 6200 is pretty weak sauce. i used on my 42" westy 1920x1080@60hz and its quite sharp. heck i forgot i had that card from years ago till just now lol.

I confirm that their rebates are fantastic. They come very early and without the slightest intervention.
No fan, has DVI and VGA....this looks like a great low-cost card. $6 shipping to OH.

Anyone have this card and know its Vista performance rating?

Thanks OP! In for 1, for $6 shipping + $3 IL Tax. I'll upgrade the video card in my old computer (which I use as an HTPC) from FX5200 to this 6200. The 5200 runs just at its limit in vista. HD signal is only choppy if you start doing other stuff while watching, but otherwise, it is watchable. So I would imagine that the 6200, with better clock speed (350 MHz vs 250 MHz) and twice the Ram, should do fine in vista. It's not gonna get you a 6 in the Vista Experience Rating, but it should do well.

Is this better than my nvidia FX5200 128? I meant by quality, performance etc., relatively speaking.. I would like to get this for my old dimension.

Thanks.

In for one. Thanks OP. This is the card I have been waiting for.It is the most upgrade I can do without upgrading my power supply. I am currently using the FX5200 with Windows XP and am happy with it, but would not mind having the better card.

One note about Fry's website. Since this card is one per customer, if you make a mistake in your credit card or leave out a field, you can not go back and correct it and place the order. Your quantity will go from 1 to 0 thinking that you are trying to buy another. I had to call to place the order.

I had this card before. It has problem waking up from hibernation in Windows XP sometimes. Anyone know a fix to this problem?

I have an old 6200 AGP like this in one of my HTPCs. Using the PureVideo codec, it can handle broadcast HDTV (1080i and 720p) in XP Media Center without breaking a sweat to an output resolution of 1280x720. Good card for HTPC. Not good for 3D gaming though, unless the games you play are 4-5 yrs old.
