ab2pk said:Got one!!.... I saw the sticker prices... Why are these engines so expensive?.. Average price was $10.... Who buys such pricy wooden engines, when battery operated plastic engines are available for the same price... At the TRUs by me, the battery operated engines were something like $20-$30 for the Thomas, Percy and Lady. Definitely sticker shocking. With these prices, I don't mind loading up on the giveaway! |

There were plenty of Thomas and Rheneas trains in stock at the TRU in Morrow, GA. They felt sorry for my wife and gave her a Percy with the old coupon even though they had a sign by the register saying it was no longer good. |

Some thing strange happened today at a TRU near my place. They had a notice up on the shelf where there were all these Thomas Trains that the coupon is a mistake and there is nothing like free for any trains. The manager I spoke to acted very weird and said the coupon has been abused. She also said that there was only what is called as an original coupon and mistakenly the copies went out on the internet. What a joke? these coupons have been published on the TRU website which they dont seem to understand what is a copy and what an original is. |

Big thanx OP, My wife picked up Harold the helicopter at the Newark DE store today with the new coupon (6/24-6/26). They had signs all over the store about the old coupon not being valid, but had no problems taking the new one that has been posted. |

Today (Thursday) at 10:30AM I picked up two musical cabooses at Huntington Beach TRU. This is the only train they have. They are not on the shelves; go to the customer service counter with the NEW coupon and they will give you the free train, no tax. They had at least one box of them this morning and may have more. Today is the last day. I hope this helps someone; I know there are not many FW'ers in OC! |
