i have the coupon in front of me and no where does it say it is a mfg coupon. Whoever is saying that does not have the coupon in their hands as it is an Office Depot coupon. all it says is 20% off HP printers over 299. valid in store only. must present this original coupon to cashier at the time of purchase. photocopies/reproductions not valid. Not valid for purchases by contract customers with store purchasing or procurement cards. coupon is good for one time use only, is not transferable and not for resale. no cash value. quantities limited. limit 1 coupon per person/business. Heading out to get m2727nf. thanks op

Just to let everyone know. The Staples $100 coupon works on this deal. Whether I will get the rebate or not is still up in the air, but the $100 coupon was applied to my order even though it says for color laser and color all in one machines.

The OD Products You neeed...Prices You'll Love mailer states these are manfuacturer offers. The coupon itself states it is a mfg offer in the first line in the terms; the coupon code 66101425 from the 20% off HP coupon in the OD mailer is the EXACT same code on the same code on the HP 20% off offer Staples sent out earlier and if that is not enough thre are several posts over on the "other" deal site where people have called HP and confirmed you will not get the rebate if you used this or other HP sponsored couon/discount or free merchadise offer on your pruchase.

my coupon code is not 66101425 so it is not the same as the Staples. I dont think you have the actual coupon in your hand because i just listed the terms and no where does it say mfg coupon.

goooo said:j9jm3 said:I bought the m2727nf from Office Depot today. I had the 20% off HP printer 299+ that I got in the mail last week.

Cost out the door with tx tax -
$519
(150) Office Depot rebate that does NOT require UPC
(300) HP rebate that requires UPC.

final cost should be $69 for this $600 printer if all the rebates go through. Should be fine since the rebates are different and one is a store rebate and the other is mfg rebate.

I tried to buy a m1319f with the same coupon but the clerk shot me down

This is really hot. Thanks. I was able to get both m2727nf and m1319f with 20% off. After rebates, the cost will be $100 for both. OD rebates are for instore purchases, forms printed out with receipt.
Wow, this seems like a really decent deal. I just happened to get the OD mailer and didn't throw it out, and the 20% off HP Printers over $299 is right on the first page. Need to figure out which one is the better printer, which includes the cheapest refills for it. I have a Canon F60 MFP right now, love it, the ink is dirt cheap (literally $2 per cartridge), only downside is it only works on XP so I have to keep an XP machine running to use it.

This just might make me buy an HP...a $600 MFP printer for under $75? That's a seriously nice discount.

Edit: Save $3 and get the 7000 page Q7553X Remanufactured Toner Cartridge Here instead of the 3000 page Q7553A Cartridge
That's enough to get me on board. $40 for the replacement cartridge, plus the M2727nf has built-in 10/100 NIC so I can use it on the network, nice. Too bad it's not color but I guess I can keep using the Canon F60 for anything I need in color.

Price $599.99
Save $300 with mail-in rebate -$300.00
Price after rebate (You save 50%**) $299.99
Just did the math on this one:

$599.99 - $120 (20% OD cpn) = $479.99 + $33.56 (7% FL tax) = $513.55 - ($300 HP + $150 OD MIRs) = $63.55

I looked because I know from previous deals that HP watches for that type of stuff.Do you have a copy of the coupon? I used mine and didn't keep a copy. Thanks.I just scanned mine. Here's a link to it:

It does not say it's an HP cpn, it's clearly an OD B&M cpn. Should be just fine to use with the MIRs.

I have use 20% off coupon. Mailed both rebates.

AIO, LSRJET, M2727NF 599.99
CPN #XXXXXXXX 20% -120.00
You Pay 479.99

Yep, I have an appointment @ 3:30pm, going to go pick the M2727nf up right after that myself. Too good a deal to pass up IMHO. It's a little bigger than I'd like; the 1522 is much smaller but only has a 1,000 sheet cartridge, whereas the M2727nf has a 7,000 sheet cartridge. For only $40 for replacement cartridges, that's a heck of a deal.

Very tempting but HP will probably deny the rebate since OD did not produce the "qualifying reseller ad" which is the first line in the T's and C's.

It's not very clear but I interpret this to mean that only the resllers that advertise the $300 HP rebate are valid. OD chose their in house rebate which I'm sure HP funded so they won't let your double dip.

It's looking like the $300 rebate is a huge YMMV not even considering the 20% coupon.

This deal is definately for risk takers.

haha... well, that's what I've been saying too but not many people seem to be responding.. here's my theory. The 20% HP printer coupon is out there, OD and HP both know it. So OD does only the $150 from OD and doesn't advertise the $300 rebate so that you can't qualify for it. The 20% and the $150 is supposed to be somewhat equivalent to the $300 rebate. OD is a big company just like Staples and Amazon, I would think they would be advertising the rebate just like the others if it was available, but it's not, there's no mention of it but there is a $150 rebate only for themselves. Sometimes companies are not that stupid and willing to give out $600 printers for $70 but then again we have seen worst.. haha.. They plan rebates ahead of time, I beginning to doubt they would have a $150 rebate and a $300 at the same time.

Instead of worrying about OD rebate will go through or not (if you use 20% coupon), I think it's better to price match with BestBuy and buy from Staples

It would end up costing about $63; not bad.

Ok I called the HP rebate center, spoke to Donna and got her CSR ID number (to reach her if there is a problem). She said that there is no problem with using the 20% off OD coupon and I would still be entitled to the rebate. She took my name and address for the record. The CSR at the OD said the coupon would not invalidate the OD rebate. The m1319f was all they had in stock so if the rebates indeed go through it was $10 + tax.

You should have asked HP what the "qualifying ad" means. That's what could void the HP rebate.

People, stop worrying about the HP rebate, it will and should go through assuming you follow the instruction with good "tactic" and be persistent.

I haven't tried it, but I don't think they will price match it.
Price after MIR at Staples is $199.99; while BestBuy has it for $263.99

I stated I was at Office Depot and that was where I was buying it and she saw no problem with that.

They plan rebates ahead of time, I beginning to doubt they would have a $150 rebate and a $300 at the same time. There is NOTHING on the HP MIR form that specifies the reseller "must advertise the $300 MIR". I've read the T&C on the MIR form from HP. ALL that is required is that the printer be purchased from a qualified reseller (OD is), and that the user send in:

- This completed coupon.
- Original or copy of store-identified invoice(s), receipt(s) or packing list(s) for all qualifying products, with purchase prices circled.
- Original of the UPC and serial number/bar code labels for the qualifying HP printer.

That's it. Not rocket science by any means. The addition of the term "with qualifying reseller ads" is meaningless; all you need is an ad from a qualified reseller showing they're selling the printer, NOT that they're advertising the MIR. If that were the case, it would SAY "with qualifying reseller ads displaying this rebate". HP probably doesn't know about the OD MIR; likewise, OD probably didn't realize at the time that HP was offerring a MIR themselves. We've seen it many, many times before. It's simply become more of a rarity these days.

Just got back from OD...picked up the last M2727nf they had. Thought I wasn't going to spend the $$$ (no big deal; in fact, probably would have been better LOL), but they found it in the back stockroom.

Why not just buy at OD so you can use OD mail in rebate (not coupon) and the HP rebate?

*edit* I also just called and explicitly asked what the verbage "qualifying reseller ads" meant and she basically just said it was referring to the exclusion of OM and BB already stated on the form.
