Is there a way to be notified of MP3 Album promotions like this? I already purchased the song "At Last" in the past from Amazon but for $1.99, I figured it's not a bad deal to buy the whole album.

These deals are one day only. For the past few weeks (at least) Amazon has been drastically reducing the price of one album per day. There have been some good deals, but you only have until the end of the day to get each one. This deal will not be around tomorrow.

If it was MY friend, I would front him $2 and buy it from Amazon for him - get it on your 'puter and then transfer it to his sometime next week.
