PlayStation 3 40GB - $399.99 @ Amazon: Link

There's also the PlayStation 3 80 GB Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle for $499.99: Link. Save on shipping by choosing in-store pickup.

Just for people who are looking for a PS3 who don't want all the tax/shipping/rebates/coupons/Blu-Ray discs/eBay hassle. If you don't like the price, just don't look at the topic.

Why did you post this? This isn't a deal. Should we create threads for everything on Amazon.com to point out you may not have to pay tax/shipping/etc?

Explain your reasoning for this thread.

This is a seriously stupid post.

I saw Elvis at the mall today, regular price, buy it now, no tax, no shipping, no special pricing, just pay MFRP and be a good programmed American Consumer.

Gotta laugh, that was one of the fastest red bars to go full in a long time. Almost as bad as posting WII deals at costco.

I know why op posted this deal.

1. The stupid dealsea.com posted this stupid deal on their stupid main page early this morning.
2. OP is good enough to stupid thinking this is a deal and want some red for his good rep.

Looks like I got hit red by OP's family who, of course, gives green to OP.

But still, cannot change the fact.

Sometimes what you think is a hot deal just isn't all that hot.

alert mods

In this case, it's ice cold.

I object!, it is not ice cold, it just regular, not hot nor cold.

Still a deal for people who need one while no other deal around.

but hey here is "Hot Deals" forum so.....

Where is there an Amazon store so I can choose the free in store pick up? Hahahahaha.

alert mods

Is that a referral link?

alert mods

Well, you can't fault the OP for this, that link was to CC and not Amazon. But for everything else, you can still blame the OP.

So your definition of "ice cold" is paying more than retail price (on abundant stock)?

alert mods

This reminds me of the good old days of posting everything on Buy.com and adding google checkout to it.

OP... Become a spectator instead of a poster

Would this be a good deal if the 80G ps3 is being phased out by Sony with a weaker system? Like they did with the 60G, replacing it with the 40G (i.e. eliminating the SKU for the 60G). I can't find any 80G at bestbuy, fry's, etc... Can anyone substantiate that rumor?
