Hi. I did a search and didn't see this posted, if it is please delete. Office Depot is having a sale on TI Graphing Calculators. The main one I'm focusing on is the the Ti-83 Plus. It's being sold for $99.99. There are two mail in rebates for $25 each and if you use a $20 off $75 coupon, then it becomes $30. You can do something similar to the other TI models that are listed on the rebate.
so in the end for the TI-83 Plus: $99.99 - 25 Coupon - $25 Rebate1 - $25 Rebate2=$29.99. But you have to add tax in there, but still a nice price.
Coupon code for 25 off 75: 88440125 Coupon code for 30 off 150:76902528
Ti-83 item number 905739.
One of the rebate says online only, but you can do a instore pickup if you want it faster.
I don't believe the two rebates will fly. Since no one has actually pulled off this deal, it would be YMMV. The probable price would be 100-20-25=$55, which seems to be the average price w/ a coupon. Good luck.

The two rebates should fly.

Is the $20 coupon only for online use or is that good in store as well? If in-store how do I get one?
If you purchase either one of these, you will also qualify for 2 Free Movie Tickets.

Anyone know if this deal is legit or not? Will they honor the 2 rebates and anyone have any experience with the Office Depot rebates? Also for the $25 off $75 coupon code it says technology excluded, but isn't this calculator considered technology?

i remember this. "enhanced with 160K flash ROM for electronic upgrades and new applications, and 24K RAM" should provide ample space for those physics and calculus cheetsheets. remember x = (-b +- (b^2 -2ac)^0.5)/2a?

Thanks Op, got one with $25 off coupon and free movie tickets. Thanks to FatherTed for $25 off coupon info and dhanush for free movie tickets link.
Also, have one question about the rebates. Both forms state "copy of UPC" - do they mean a photocopy or original UPC? Anyone have experience with this? TIA

Thanks for the link. Just note that you may not have any local theaters that work with Fandango.
Snippet from http://www.starreviews.com/Fandango.aspx
Fandango’s online movie ticket service is available for 1,300 theaters across the United States. Those theaters include AMC, Kerasotes, Cinemark, and many IMAX locations. Tickets can be purchased one to three weeks in advance depending on the movie. You can also use Fandango’s services to buy tickets to special screenings, including midnight showings of movies so you can secure your spot without going to the box office.
I even found one AMC that is listed as "Online Ticketing Not Available for this Theater". I would have to drive over 40 miles to find a theater that accepts online ticketing from Fandango. I only found 3 out of 20 or 30 in 3 large cities. So for some, the free tickets is a great deal. For others like me, it is not such a great deal.

Copy of UPC means photocopy of UPC. If it wanted original UPC, it would say original UPC. As for experience, I guess I've filed 200+ rebates over the past 5 years.

There is the one condition on the ShopDiscover site that says "Offer is not valid in combination with any other offers". Wonder if using the coupon invalidates any Cash Back from Discover???
I could not get the Chase Rewards Plus site to work. Each time I logged in to their site, it complained that it could not make the change I requested (before I even tried to do anything on their site).

Go to Chase Rewards Plus to get details on how it works. Is Chase Rewards Plus for select Chase cards only? I get "Unknown Error (404)" when I try to log into the site.

The local store can not let you pick up your order until you show them the physical coupon. That's too bad!

Surely you're joking. I used a TI-81 through high school and a TI-83 through college in engineering. That was just a few years ago. Last time I checked, no new math has been invented in the past few years.

awesome guys thanks...
i never had a calculator all thru hs so i have no idea on this subject...no calculators allowed under O and A levels that i took(british system).
jtayl230 said: The TI-83 Plus should be fine for any highschooler. I used it all the way through high school. Also the TI-89 isn't allowed on the ACT/SAT.
TI-83 will work for most hs math but an 89 is much better, especially for calculus. The TI-89 is a symbolic manipulator and can solve for variables much more efficiently than an 83. The upside to this is that you can basically type any algebra or pre-calc problem in and hit solve (and you're done). The downside to this is that it may prevent you from actually learning the math.
I remember being able to use my TI-89 in my calc class as well as on some advanced subject level SATIIs and AP tests. That was well over 5 years ago though.

Anyone get the conformation after claiming the 2 movie tickets?

Too bad the Chase site is broken, I'd prefer to buy it with my Amazon card which has double points, but I guess that 5% from Discover is better than nothing.
I went for the TI-84 Plus since it is faster, has more memory and includes the USB cable. Hopefully I won't have to buy my kid another calculator until he goes to college.
