Funny discussion about the Frontier/Titan. Two trucks that have been marketplace failures and the Titan will be discontinued this year, to be replaced by a rebadged Dodge Ram. Looks like the Titan is rated as the worst full size truck for the money As long as the buyer is happy with the price paid and the value derived, it's a good deal. I doubt that a used Frontier is worth 19k today, much as I doubt that anyone can sell a Titan for more than he/she paid for it. What KBB says a vehicle is worth vs. what someone is willing to pay often is a decent difference. |

What KBB says a vehicle is worth vs. what someone is willing to pay often is a decent difference. which is why no one on here paid anywhere NEAR the cost that they are referring to in that article. From what I remember, Titans most everywhere were going for about 50% off MSRP last year during this clearance. $18k for a brand new full size truck with extended/quad cab isn't too shabby. |

I see Ford/Chevy deals for $19-20k extended cab 2wd quite often. I saw a 2008 Chevy Silverado ext cab 4x4 v8 last Sept during employee price sale for $23k + TTL, that was a super deal, and better dollar for dollar than any of the Nissan truck deals. Once the Titan is discontinued, it's value will probably mirror the Toyota T100. |

even if this were true (it's not) - you still didn't factor in the cost of your tax subsidization. How is this not true? If I had bought that truck, the KBB value for it today is well over the purchase price at that time. Whether anyone would actually pay that much is suspect.... Gov't subsidization didn't happen until Dec 2008, 3 months after this deal ended. |

And Titan is not going to be replaced by a re-badged Dodge Ram. I agree with the rest |

If only you'd purchased it so we'd have an invoice to look at. Ah well. On another note - I saw a brand-new loaded GMC for 5K - now there was a deal. edit: as a matter of fact, if only there was a website where people obsessed with getting the best possible deal could discuss these issues. Maybe FW hasn't heard of GM? |
