Just bought a 2008 Nissan Quest MSRP $26500 incl des. chg for $15,900! This was at Glenn Nissan in Lexington, KY.
The deal is that Nissan has a $3500 rebate going plus $5000 back to dealers who sell over a certain number of cars. Glenn Nissan passed the savings to the customer and sold several units Fri/ Sat. I picked up one today and wanted to alert others to be on the lookout in their area for the same deal.
It really takes all depreciation out of buying a new vehicle where you lose 20% the moment you drive off the lot.
Now if gas goes down, we be a doin' real gud! lol

Hey thanks Bourg. Forgot to link the ad.

Did you get the low rate promo financing as well or does the rebate eliminate that deal?

wait - it will be B1G1

The rebate eliminates any financing promo as far as i can tell. We just went through our own CU.
The $3500 initial rebate far outweighs the savings from a promo % financing deal though.

Hehe maybe! If it does I'll avg. down.

Wow! If they had this deal anywhere within 500 miles of me I would jump on it... either get a Titan or a Frontier 4x4 to tow my small travel trailer with... I think my local Nissan dealer is a ripoff, and the bigger-city one closest to me I have no idea about...

IMO it may come to a town near you. At least you could take this info and go to a dealer and ask about it.

Is this for real. I don't want to be going 200 miles to be disappointed by sales gimmick.

will other Nissan dealers do the pricematch?

I notice they have stock #'s listed in that ad. The catch is usually that the only cars that are on sale are those specific cars with the listed stock number. So I'm assuming the Quest you bought will be the only they sell at that price...

I just looked around my area. one dealer is advertising 33% off, not 40%. it's about 1k above your dealer's $'s. still great price.

There was no gimmick. MSRP $26500. They then took off $7100, added state tax + license/reg fee then reduced the $3500 REBATE.
Total discount $10600.00, just as the ad said. No hassle.
I was so excited I called others I knew about the deals being offered.
They had about 5-6 Quests left, 3 Pathfinders, 2-3 Xterras and several pickups. You should call before traveling that distance, to see what they have left. It was busy this morning.
Glenn Nissan 1-800-880-5020

All of those models listed as far as I know were 40% off. It would be wise to call first to check it out.

So, how much did you pay after taxes and everything?

Don't know. We have a Nissan dealership much closer to us, but I did not check to see if they would match price.
We will have any warranty work done there though

$26500 - $7100 + $1431 taxes + $299.50 license/transfer/service fee - $3500 = $17630.50

wowwww.. I almost want to trade my '08 pilot (bought 4 months ago).. looks like I still might make up for what I'd lose on a trade.. I don't like my pilot anyways....

I have '03 Pilot and I like it a lot. It gives me 27mpg and 0 problems.

absolutely impractical 3rd row seating.. tight leg room overall (if u r a bit tall).. Pilot to me is just a glorified CRV.. (well, i certainly wasn't feeling the same way when I bought it though.. )

Firefox - blank
IE - works fine

It's probably worth mentioning that you got a fixed-amount discount. So on more expensive vehicles, the percent difference would be less. The title says 40% off, but that's really only for a $26,500 vehicle. Might want to change the title to reflect that...

For example, when I bought my Ford truck a few years ago, I got about $11k off of a $29.5k truck. Despite saving even more money, the percent difference is less than 40%. If I had saved $8.5k like you did, it would only be a savings of less than 30%.

Same here - worked in IE when I tried it... didn't work in FF.

Actually, I remember a couple of years ago it already was B1G1. A dealership in NJ was giving a Sentra for free when you buy a Maxima for MSRP.

Good deal for someone who wants one of these cars. Glenn Nissan is a pretty good dealership as well - I bought a used Maxima there long time ago when I lived in Lexington.

I heard B1G1 on the radio once, but when I called down to the dealership to figure out what it was all about, they informed me that the free car was used.

Wolfchase Nissan in Memphis appears to have similar deals. Look at the ad in the middle of their front page.

Website

Just got a letter from Harte Nissan in Hartford CT basically talking about similar deal.
Doesn't have exact numbers as examples but talks about clearing out minivans, trucks and SUV's with savings up to $14k from MSRP.

Also mentions 0% financing for 60 months.

As mentioned earlier, turn off adblock. This fixed the FF issue for me.

Agreed

Maybe they should pay you to take the car off their hands....

Unbelivable.... This is going to be the largest purchase triggered by fatwallet.
Thanks for the heads up!

Do you guys know if there are similar deals in Georgia? Thanks,

Wondering is they're doing this in austin also.

If only you'd purchased it so we'd have an invoice to look at. Ah well. On another note - I saw a brand-new loaded GMC for 5K - now there was a deal.

edit: as a matter of fact, if only there was a website where people obsessed with getting the best possible deal could discuss these issues. Maybe FW hasn't heard of GM?
